Description
"Lost in Rapture" is an imaginary JRPG inspired by Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy X. For generations the inhabitants strove to create a paradise and free themselves from strife. An otherworldly island, where its cerulean waters stretch as far as the eye can see. But what lies beyond the vast ocean?

Track #1 "Beyond the Boundary": This track serves as the main theme for the game when the protagonist finally sets off on her journey across the ocean. A magical veil protects their paradise, while the majority of people on the island have no knowledge that it exists except for a select few.

Track #2 "Nirvana Inn": A place to forget your worries. One of the main safe zones that the protagonist will visit.

Track #3 "Deep Dive": At the island, it's common to find people descending into the ocean to scavenge, or simply to bask in its waters.

Track #4 "From the Heart": For emotional moments that occur in the game.

Message from the artist
Hi everyone! I've always wanted to create a soundtrack for a game or a movie, so I put in as much effort as possible with the time I had. Thank you for taking the time to listen. You can contact on Discord: beepostudios.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
When I saw the art for the theme, I imagined a world covered mostly by water and in the game, you learn the intricacies and the culture of that world through the protagonist. I thought to use Caribbean & Latin instruments (mainly percussion) to reflect the tropical nature of the game. In "Beyond the Boundary", the children's singing is the language they use on the island. In "Deep Dive", I wanted to use synths/pads to capture that feeling that you're underwater. Overall, the songs I was able to make are intended mainly for world-building.

I ADORE the choral vocals on 'Beyond the Boundary', perfect for a main theme, they had me hooked instantly.  Personally I think it could have ended stronger though, it felt to me as it fizzled. Otherwise, a truly lovely composition

The bossa/jazz feel on 'Nirvana Inn' is... it soothes my soul, truly. The flute is so transportative. I wanted to hear more piano though!

Agree with @grasstypefire about 'Deep Dive', it would've nice to hear more energy and movement.

'From the Heart' brought me straight to back to Final Fantasy and I love it for that.

This set of tracks was wonderful to listen to, thanks for making them <3

ooh damn these are pretty good! Very pleasant and cozy to listen to. But the least one that I liked was the Deep Dive, and only because it felt too relaxing for an exploration theme and I was expecting a bit more energy. But other than that I really liked your tracks!

thank you for listening! i definitely think deep dive is my weakest track as well, when it comes to energetic tracks i tend to spend more time on them (nirvana inn) and i unfortunately was running out of time :')

There is too much soul contained in this to put into words. This is special. Keep writing <3

Literally me in Nirvana Inn:

This is some legit good stuff. The instruments sound really authentic and life-like. This has ton of soul put into it. Production is also awesome, everything is crisp.

The instrumentation sounds good and realistic, I would have not thought some of these instruments were VSTs. Nirvana Inn is probably my favorite, the flute work is amazing and it feels cozy and cheerful. These tracks do an amazing job at sculpting the tropical environment. It was great listening to this!

Ok, that's some good stuff : the mix is well thought, you fused interesting themes together. I find in your work what I loved in the first Xenoblade soundtrack !  GG

Love the variety in this OST!  Big fan of JRPG stuff myself, so a lot of the sound selection struck a chord with me.

Favorite track has to be Beyond the Boundary for it's vocals, chord structure, and general instrumentation!  What VST are you using for vocals? They work very well!

very particular sound choices, from Latin sounds to jazz rhythms... there is truly a nice mix of musical fusions. everything is truly relaxing but also well written musically and clean from a mix point of view. Bravo for originality above all!
