Description
Genre: Circus/Orchestra/
As two of the tracks are fully finished(ran out of time for all four), I'll explain them and then move onto the draft ones:

Game type :Indie Adventure RPG
The first track, Welcome, represents the main character being whisked away to this world, and instantly being enamored by it. The creator of the world and the main character instantly get along, and the fun is never boring. I tried to make a song that could loop well, almost unchanging. Except for the later half, where I introduce the leitmotif of the Creator. My goal was to not stray too far off from the original song, but make this small part sound a little off. I was trying to represent the uneasy that the Creator feels in this moment of happiness, that the main character will eventually try and leave. However, as the Creator tries to ignore this feeling, so does the song go back into its happy-go-lucky state. However, as the song is a loop, this feeling will obviously keep resurfacing. Which is where we get to the second track
For Please Stay, this takes place after the main character decided that they want to be able to go back home. They would love to come back though. However, the Creator sees this almost like a betrayal, and sees this as a repeat of others who have tried to leave the world, even when the Creator has been alone for so long. I tried to capture a song that felt like pleading to the main character, a sorrow song from the Creator. I use the Creator's leitmotif multiple times here, almost to create the back and forth conversation that the main character and creator are having. By the end, while the main character declares that their decision is final, the sadness of the Creator turns to anger, and the song gains a new emotion through tension, right before ending. I also once again used an accordion to call back to the previous song.
Track Three, You Can't Leave, deals with the Creator refusing to allow the main character to leave. While the track is unfinished, I will explain it regardless. Bringing back the previous leitmotif, it is now frantic, just like the Creator. I tried to give a feeling of the Creator throwing everything they have at the main character, so I used various melodies which contrast to the previous songs which tried to stay within one or two. Throughout the song there are happy or triumphant moments, which signify that the main character is getting through to the Creator in their time of emotional distress. Just because the main character is leaving, doesn't mean they won't come back. But trapping them against their free will surely won't solve the Creator's underlying issues. However, the creator tries to brush these words away, and fight against the truth.
Finally, in the fourth and final track, I'll See You Later, the ending of the game has happened. The Creator has finally truly heard you, and apologizes for how they have acted. I tried to go with a triumphant sounding song here, similar to Dragon Quest 1's ending. I used variations of the melody in Welcome, and parts of You Can't Leave. I left out the Creator's leitmotif, as they are no longer the focus. The Creator has come to terms with their emotions, and this song is truly for the main character.

The DAW I used was FL Studio

Message from the artist
Thank you for this opportunity as my first game jam
I really enjoyed myself and made we want to work more on music
While I did not finish all my songs, I still enjoyed the process very much

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
I tried to put a twist on the theme prompt and create an idea where you are inside someone else's world. One that you cannot escape. And because the world is not the main character, I tried to have the music reflect the emotional state of the Creator, rather than the main character(this can also work for the emotions of the scene as well)
I had questions such as what if you want to leave this world? Who is the person who created this world? What are their emotions? I wanted to reflect a story that was almost cut up into distinct parts, not by acts, but by emotion. Sure, you may be welcome in a world, but are you able to leave it?

The first song jump scared me because it starts abruptly loud! I liked how fun it was though!

The composition is pretty good, the mixing could be a little better, but overall good tracks and very creative. Good job!
PS: The intro of the first songs starts quite abruptly and loud, I got scared for a second, but it got my interest nonetheless :)

Congrats on your first jam! These were fun tracks with bright energy. I think a good next step would be to adjust the levels of the instruments a bit in "Welcome." The percussion in the background is almost inaudible. Thanks for making and sharing.

Thank you for the feedback, I'll definitely keep that in mind for tracks with drums in the future

Great job on keeping each track interesting, they had a unique indie game feel which I quite enjoyed. Please Stay was my favorite track of the submission. Great work!

congrats on completing your first jam! :]

Please Stay is very beautiful and really pulls my heartstrings! lovely chord progressions. the mixing is better on Please stay, but Welcome is a bit muddier; maybe the trumpet chords are too thick; just lowering their volume/making them shorter/finding a lighter sound might help. but i absolutely love how it feels nostalgic and bittersweet, yet upbeat and colorful!

i think it'd be totally worth it to keep working on the rest of the tracks post-jam. great work overall!!!

Thank you for the great feedback, I'm going to keep that in mind for the future

I'm definitely going to try and finish the others in the future, I really appreciate the kind words

Based entirely off the two tracks on Soundcloud, I really like them. The second track "Please Stay" is outstandingly good. Both tracks have a strong mix of what sounds like traditional soundfonts / samples with the newer FL studio era of life-like synth, very cool dynamic.

I think Critic wise, the songs have strong openings but no clear end, they just fade. Not quite into each other, but out of the mix. On top of that, the mixing and panning is a little tight in the mix, which is overall EQ'd quite in the high profile, which works for some people but not most.

Be proud of this, it's very inspiring work.

Thank you for the kind words and the critiques, I appreciate it a lot

I like the idea of going into somebody's head. Going for a circus vibe is also interesting since you don't get a lot of that in this jam. Composition is solid but I do feel a lot of sound choices are piercing and the first song could use a bit more space in the mix.

I really like "Please Stay" still, it feels like somebody doesn't want the MC to leave. That one paints a picture.

Thank you for feedback, I'll definitely remember it for the future
