Description
A soundtrack consisting in one condensed track with multiple sections, made in FL Studio. As the main character goes deeper into the water and discovers the secrets of the ocean, the music gets more alert and synthetic, going from section to section.

The photo and the main character made me think of Asian music, so I chose a pentatonic scale and a harp. Besides that, I also combined some classical elements, such as a piano and violins, with an atmospheric synth and a lead that reminds me of childhood.

The sections were thought for the game as follows:
1. When the characters enters the clear water, the music is pretty simple and innocent.

2. As she opens her eyes and sees all the marine life, the violins start playing.

3. She gets more playful and the percussion starts.

4. As she starts to see some weird unknown marine life, the violins start their quick playing section.

5. Then, to accompany a some kind of "boss fight", the synth lead comes into play, followed by the fast percussion that enters the game when the climax is reached.

6. Finally, the same atmospheric synth as in the beginning is played, marking the end.

Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
I tried to use a scale and instruments that make us think about Asian music, as that is what the picture made me think of. Also, the soundtrack progresses as the character goes deeper into the water, and discovers the marine life (the ocean's "world").

Some really great texture here. The feeling of sinking is palpable. Fantastic work!

Great job! I like that the synth in the beginning makes impression that we are indeed plunging underwater. I totally like it very much when the violins start their quick playing in section 4 :) Great ideas overall, thoughtful and smooth developing of the music, very nice work!

Thank you, I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

Really nice and rich mixture of sounds. It was very interesting the way you told the story through your music.

Great work!!

Straight off the bat I love the saturation you’ve got on the piano part, it’s so thick and warm! Beautiful chord progressions and support from the strings! I love where you take things when the percussion kicks in! All the motifs you presented were really catchy! The final one with the gliding synth was my favorite! Nice work!

Thank you, I tried to keep it interesting.

Very Asian-sounding, very oceanic-sounding, and a lovely buildup of the instruments. That was a lovely listen! Great stuff!

A cool way to condense an entire OST into one song!

Kind of like something that would play in the credits as a finale to the journey.

Developer

Thanks! I didn't originally imagine it as a song playing in the credits, but now that you say it, I guess it could work.

Harmonies are nice, bit lacking of arrangement. Track feels empty without background ambience or moving parts. Overall interesting work!

Thank you for the feedback and suggestions!

The pentatonic scale does wonders here. Great sound. Delight to listen to. Nice arpeggiation. Thanks for making and sharing!

Heh... I love that synthesizer “bouncing” on my ears at the very beginning... And the drums set the dynamic well) The general atmosphere is soothing. Cool!

You've got some pretty cute and “deep” work! (I wanted to drown in this track... heh).
Thank you!

Cool vibes change in the track, great evolution! I think a better mix would work on your track, the bass is a bit too powerful and muddy.

Developer

Thank you for feedback! My mixing skills have certainly a lot of room for improvement.

Solid song, the soundtrack could be longer, but I can't think of an another flaw.

Developer

Thanks! I tried to keep it short and dense, but I also would have liked to create some more sections if I had the time to do so.

This was good! Great progression from beginning to end; like playercircuit I really enjoyed the intro. It's drenched in atmosphere and opens up into a rather unexpected but pleasant cultural passage. The gradual subtraction of layers as the track comes to a close is well done also. Good work.

Thank you!

(I write this as I listen!) The intro is a little ominous. Love that so much. The synth that kicks in alleviates that a bit! Gets quite interesting as it goes on. Very simplistic overall. I love the different phases it goes through. About the last third is my favorite with that slidy synth. Nice work :)

Thank you! :D
