Description
Breathe
Genre: Piano/Instrumental
DAW: Logic Pro
Composed mainly by direct MIDI keyboard recording on a Roland FP-10.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
Sometimes looking inward into your own world can be lonely. It's easy to get lost there, to spiral in circles with your thoughts. So take it slow. Breathe. And when you're ready, remember that the wider world is out there waiting for you.
----
I tried to capture some element of this feeling, a mix of loneliness and hope. The lone piano notes and long pauses between phrases try to express a longing or yearning. The repeated arpeggios with upward movement and the return to a variation on the opening theme try to express a urge to break out, an anticipation for the future, and a reminder that life goes on.

Thank you so much everyone for sharing your thoughts. I am absolutely humbled to have my work mentioned in the same sentence as Satie.
Sweet and soulful piano part... I like it!
Great job, it's so serene! Not everything needs a huge orchestra or 200 snyths, sometimes less is more and you demonstrated that very well!
Beautiful work, definitely reminds me of Gymnopedie by Erik Satie , and Minecraft like others have said.
Its almost similar to the way I improvise on the piano as well, with lots of slow chords and patterns. But well done!
Beautiful, minimalist music there - reminds me of Satie and a bit Philip Glass too - well done!
I appreciate that you explained how your orchestration techniques coincide with the theme you interpreted.
Beautiful piano work here. Saving this for when I inevitably return to Minecraft ;D
Very lovely
This is definitely in the vein of Satie and c418. Great work with this music.
This is incredibly pretty! It has a very thoughtful feel to it. I really like the piano tone. The last minute or so kinda makes me wanna cry (in a good way).
Oh man, this is good. Reminds me a bit of Erik Satie's compositions (Gymnopédie No. 1 comes to mind). I quite like the section around 1 minute in, where the track moves up to an even lonelier tone. Actually kinda reminds me of the composition of the Disney intro, which is absolutely a good thing.
This is very well composed, and its quite refreshing to hear a submission that's just solo piano. Great stuff!
That's such a sweet and relaxing piano composition. Very nice c:
