Description
All tracks were composed and recorded in Logic Pro. I purposely challenged myself to compose the entire soundtrack using just the piano and strings. I felt that the stripped back arrangement fit the "picture" theme well and give the entire soundtrack unity and charm. My process was to write all the songs on piano and arrange for strings on top. I created a story and composed 11 tracks around it.
Story: The game starts off with our protagonist (girl in pink) who is having issues at home and is suffering from depression. She stumbles upon an artifact that brings her to a new world that she falls in love with. Here she meets a friend (bubble figure in the picture). However, a evil presence threatens this world and it is up to our protagonist to save the day.
Message from the artist
Thank you so much for this opportunity. Ive been studying lots of OSTs this past year (mainly Koji Kondo and Takashi Tateishi) and this is my first project putting that knowledge into practice.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
My goal was to make music that sounded like the picture provided (which ended up being my "main theme" for the game). All the other tracks are an extension of this theme

I was skeptical at first with a piano and strings only OST but I was proven wrong! Very interesting the whole way through thanks to the very different styles of songs there was!
My favorite was minor enemy encounter!
Thank you so much! :)
Very cool submission. “Arrival” sounds straight out of an early 3d Zelda game. I also like the utilization of leitmotifs throughout the soundtrack.
Compositionally, it stayed very fresh throughout. I would’ve loved to hear a little more variety in the instrumentation.
Great work!
Thank you for your comment! Im a huge Zelda fan :) Also i appreciate your honesty on the instrumentation and its something im going to work on going forward
Heh heh... It's time for interesting soundtracks!
You have turned out very beautiful piano parts! Despite using a very small number of musical instruments, you were still able to make a soulful soundtrack! I liked it)
P.S. Is this your first practical project? Cool!
Thank you i really appreciate it! And yes it is :) but with that being said Ive been a part time musician in original/cover bands for many years now. Music has always been a big part of my life.
Flawless piano pieces with a cohesive overall feeling and solid composition, with many subtle yet interesting chord changes and tensions. Too bad the string VSTs quality made the whole OST sound like a draft, for your writing and performance deserved the real thing. +1 for adding the short audios for game over, completed level, etc. It really felt like a full project ready to send to a developer, just missing the recording of real strings. Looking forward to hear more pieces of yours until that happens!
Thank you! And I appreciate your honesty. The strings could've definitely been programmed to sound more convincing and its something ill work on in the future :)
Great stuff! So lush :)
Followed immediately. Beautiful compositions, really talented piano playing with great dynamic play.
Awesome work!
Thank you! I was a big fan of your submission as well
Thank you so much, hopefully you get a high ranking, highly deserved!
Great compositions and use of dynamics. I feel like the limiting of the soundtrack to just piano and strings may have been a bit detrimental when submitting that many tracks, just in terms of holding interest (especially when there is so many jam submissions!), but nonetheless I enjoyed each one.
I agree and its something ill have to work on for future projects. Thanks for your comment :)
Fantastic compositions - the supporting instrumentation was well done, and the piano playing itself was nothing short of a delight to listen to. Very virtuosic playing at points, but without going OTT. You've got talent - I can absolutely imagine these being used in a game. Great work with this entry, and best of luck in the grand scheme of things!
Thank you so much this made my day :)
