Message from the artist
I've been making music in my spare time for a while and this time I took an opportunity to explore a new and exciting domain of soundtracks. I am happy to participate in a composition game jam for the first time. Hopefully, you will appreciate the works I've made and perhaps some will be generous enough to provide some criticism :)

Theme

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Both of the soundracks are dreamy and a bit naive, showing the perception of a child in her fantasies. The first track, however, has a bit of bitterness and sadness coming from the fact that her mother's image appears to her in the fantasies but it's very fragile and can dissapear any moment.

An interesting orchestral soundtrack! Is this your first time participating in a game jam? Cool!

I liked both tracks, heh)

Thanks!

I liked the bells in the first track a lot!

the way you ended your second track was breathtakingly pretty! Overall really enjoyed listening to this

Great work, I really like the choice of instrumentation throughout both of these. New Discoveries is paced well and the layering of the various elements is great. I like the use of percussion to give it a little driving force and direction when needed, and the background mallet-like melody and progression is gorgeous - moody and almost ill-defined but unwavering.

OST 1(theme) is really pretty - the piano work in this is really nice and evocative as others have mentioned. Great job with the orchestration in this one in particular, the string accompaniment is well done and I like the different use of articulations. Having this dip into a lull for a change of tone half-way through was a nice surprise, and I like how it feels a little more.. curious, I guess? Less definitive in the direction of the first half and now laden with a little bit of child-like fascination and curiosity for what's ahead.

Great work, these were a delight to listen to. Well produced and explorative. Best of luck!

These are really lovely tracks - the second in particular I found really soothing and evocative. I can easily imagine playing a nice cosy exploration and making game with it as the soundtrack.

My only criticism is that I found the first track a bit busy, there were a lot of little motifs being used on top of each other. I would have liked to have heard them have a bit more space and time to fit in and play with the harmonies more.

Really lovely pieces though - well done!

the ambient tone for both tracks are amazing, the 2nd track especially fits with the image theme you are going for, it makes me want to relax in my chair in be alone with my thoughts

This OST gives very strong Earthbound vibes. Instrumentation in the first track is odd but gels together in a unique way that serves the composition well. The second track hits on that nostalgic feeling I think you were going for.

Really liked the both track, even if they are a bit rough with the isntruments i really like the vibes of the first one, and some of the ideas you used in the second one, keep up the work :D

I'd be also grateful if you could share some what instrument libraries I can use to achieve better sounding

The first track flows well and its instrumentation is nice. It has bits and pieces that are a little discordant, but since it's meant to be a little bittersweet I find it fitting. I like the way you use the piano in the second song, it feels very organic and free, I like its little flourishes.

I'm not a professional composer or musician, so I don't feel comfortable giving you any direct criticisms on what you've made. However, I can give you my personal advice, and that's that if you enjoy making music and wanna get better, you should keep going out of your comfort zone and trying new things. This can be participating in jams, trying to make songs in a new style, maybe learning a new technique or bit of music theory and trying to apply it to a song. In my opinion, all of that is what'll make you learn the most and realize what you enjoy making. That's how a lot of people find what they want their main style to be. I hope that helps!

Regardless, nice submission, I had a good time listening!
