Very pleasing mix, puts you right into the headspace for something like a JRPG :D.

Cool atmosphere you created here, the bass and drums are pretty scary (in a good way :D).  I feel like the underwater sounds muddied the drum and bass part a little bit, maybe the dynamics could be adjusted? But apart from that, certainly an entry that stands out in terms of texture and storytelling, great job!

Great action in this one and I like how your narrative is mirrored by the music (things going quiet before the cannons fire). I agree with the comment below that the drums smack a little hard, especially at around 1:08 - perhaps the contrast you created there (the calm moment before the storm) could have been even greater if they were more quiet.

Hey, thank you for the constructive feedback, I highly appreciate it :)

I am flattered, thank you very much for your comment :)

Thanks a lot for your comment - cool that you recognized the whole tone scale :D

I like this as a more cute take on the theme - the bass and percussion give it a kinda whimsical atmosphere, congrats! (◕ᴥ◕)

Great vibes, sounds like a scary hallucination O_o

The section at around 1:10 is the highlight for me, love the vibe you created there. I agree that high glassy sounds and low woodwinds sound like the underground - a texture like a crystal cave paired with a, literally, low sound ^^

I liked reading about the process you described above, especially the idea to illustrate mining t´with high-pitch arpeggio, it sure conjured up some imagery. Also took the time to check out some of your other and older stuff - you really have a good range of styles, cool!

Whoa, that was dark and certainly unexpected! Maybe the choir is a little too epic, but I see how it would work in a realistic re-imagination of the game - great job!

Hey, thank you for appreciating my effort in recording real instruments. I am still a little divided on recording drums - getting them right seems so hard, I wonder if it is worth it. Maybe for a jazzy song? I would argue that programmed beats have a certain appeal too. Let's see if I will give it another shot anytime soon ^^. Thanks for your comment.

Perhaps the trumpet is a little too distant - that's a good observation! I have to admit that I have not given my mixes too much thought yet - I play with the volume and pan around until it feels okay. Maybe in the future, I need to return to the mix after a break to spot these details. Thanks a lot for giving me hints to improve :)

Good tips, thanks a lot !

Lovely and cute, just by the instrumentation and simplicity of the melody you capture the vibe of the game really well! I wonder how you would take this one further given some more time ^^. Great job!

The minimalism in the arrangement captures the atmosphere of an Animal Crossing Game quite well! The percussion gave it that whimsy :)

Jazzy vibes, nice! I could almost imagine the wail of a saxophone over it ^^.

Whoa this really got soul! Amazing! Makes me feel warm and nice inside :)

The track builds nicely and gives of a cute vibe. Maybe the strings and timpani near the end are almost a little too triumphant if we were to interpret the sunny island setting as a "chill sunny island" - in your interpretation, it sparks a great sense of adventure tho, good job!

Hey man, cool track! I really enjoyed the composition and your choice of sounds - apart from maybe the strummed acoustic guitar tone (its a little harsh maybe? quite subjective tho and I guess comes from a guitar player who is into more mellow stuff). I found it kinda funny to read in your miro notes that you are just starting to learn mixing - same here, I submitted to the OST Comp Jam #7 (let's hope for the results soon, your track there was great!), and I also noticed some mixing issues (especially volume) for my submission and tried working a little on that.
Until we meet again in the next jam perhaps? :D

Edit: What is that bass sound? I think it is pretty cool. Something like Trilian Ac 1 it says in your notes.

Yeaaah, maybe I need to introduce a little more variation on the melody. I tried repeating it a few times to make the track coherent, but it could use some spice to stand out, certainly if it were a stand-alone track. Thanks for the feedback :)

Very chill and minimal indeed. Could listen to this during a long session of playing. Good job!

Hella' creative submission! I am an enjoyer of strange experimental sound (seriously, if some of the stuff I listen to ended up on a party playlist, people would think the alien abduction has begun or the boxes are broken). So thanks for making this and scratching that itch :D!

Thank you so much for the encouraging words, I will make some more :)

D O P E !

Goin' ham on guitar for "Black And White", nice! You played that, right? Now I wonder if it is possible to program a guitar like this at all...enlighten me if you want ^^.

I love how the instruments take a role as specific characters throughout, it makes your entry really cohesive. Good job!

Epic, melancholic and haunting - you did it again! I hope we will get a Dark Fantasy game with your music one day! I loved the shift in tone for the final track - definitely my favorite and it ties the whole experience together nicely!

The emotionally most impactful submissions I have heard so far. What also strikes me is how focused the composition is and how well it kept my attention - amazing job!

What an amazing concept, I would love to see something like an MMO that is more focused on solving puzzles and exploring together. Imagine spending days to uncover a deep layer of the ocean, makes you feel like a group of virtual scientists!

Could definitely hear the Gymnopédies by Satie in "Biolumenesca" and loved how you gave it your own spin.
Also a great idea to put the noise and background into the rediscovered "Wash Away".
I agree with others that "Ectosymbiosis" is one of the coolest tracks on the album - good job!

Thank you for your critical feedback, this helps me improve :)

Thank you so much for this lovely comment. I need to check out your submission ASAP, but want to take my time tomorrow with it ^^. The concept sounds super cool!

Great job, this entry stands out in its creativity and managed to capture a range of emotions! I especially loved the tranquil atmosphere of "There Is Void" - makes me dream myself away :D.
And let's not forget that epic choir at the end!
It would totally fit an "artsy adventure", as you mentioned in your description ^^.

Thank you so much for the comment, it made me feel great :). Having heard your chilling entry, I knew you would have a taste for the sp00ky salty premonition ^^.

Immensely beautiful stuff, congrats! I can totally see you winning again :D!

Great Save Room theme and overall production - congrats! This is my favourite entry so far, it makes my imagination tingle!

Amazing work! You created a beautiful and calming listening experience all the way through - my favourite track was "hidden in the sea". I am also impressed with the quality of composition and how the last track developed and kept my attention - when the bass notes on the piano hit at around 1:16 it makes for a great moment!

Great job! I especially liked the otherworldly atmosphere of "King Tuna" - I can imagine his scary hollow eyes and how he delivers the message to grandpa :D.

Hey, good job saving the best for last, "The End" was my favourite track :). You certainly know how to compose and structure a piece well, mine usually end up being only around 1-2 minutes ^^.

Congrats on composing so many cool pieces in such a short timeframe! My favourite track was "The Fallen Dictator" - very grand and epic, makes me shiver :D!
