It took me a few tries to understand the gameplay, but then it worked. Graphics and music fit well together. I also like that you have to take care of someone else and not yourself. Your game is a nice and beautiful implementation of an RTS!

However, I think that stunning doesn't work or the time is too short. A visual cue would help a lot there too. Also, the range of the toys seems a little bit too short to me.

Art and music are great, and the gameplay idea is a nice twist on the RTS genre.

One complaint, however: I'm not sure if it's a bug or I'm doing something wrong (probably the latter, since no one else's complained about it so far), but after some time, I'm unable to do any mouse commands (select toys, move-to, etc.)

The art is absolutely amazing and the concept works really well! Good job! :)

Sometimes I was not sure if my toy buddies were actually attacking and if my stun attack was working (I guess some vfx or sfx could help there).

Beautiful graphics, they are well done and fit the concept in a very cute way.

Also, the concept is super cool! I really like when an RTS puts the player in the middle of the action, like Mount and Blade for example

Maybe this was planned, but we would have liked to be able to control units by clicking on the mini-map, because without it we didn't really feel in control.

Also it feels like the units would benefit from a greater aggro range, they're not really good at guarding the bed otherwise.

This is a great entry! It took me a little to get the gameplay, but once I got into the flow, it worked pretty well. I really liked the graphics and music, really well put together. And to even have a system of changing the soundtrack depending on the location, although not perfect,  is still quite impressive.

Regarding the mechanics, I really liked the RTS elements blended with the regular top down walking, but the toy bros are really slow and it becomes a little difficult to manage them when you can't shift your camera to them. Also the idea with portals reminded me of the game Kingdom. But as I understand destroying the portals is not mandatory to win. The stun mechanic didn't seem to work for me, or there just wasn't any visual feedback to understand it was.

Overall, awesome submission! It feels quite polished in terms of assets and aesthetic considering how much time it was in development :p

For the next players, here is a copy/paste of the tutorial on the itch.io page:

"You are Cathy, the best and favorite plushie of Billy. This honorful role implies also to take care of Billy's sleep! Recently, it has become more and more difficult: Billy is having nightmares! Tonight, you will protect him to preserve his comfort, with the help of your toy colleagues. Lead the toys to fight the nightmares. You will need to explore the room looking for good memories to recruit more toys. Destroy the nightmare nests and protect Billy until the end of the night. Good luck!

Move with the keyboard (WASD).
Select the toys by making a box with the mouse.
Left-click to select/deselect them.
Right-click to move them.

Press E to call them all (or stop them from coming)!

Grab Billy's good memories (the pink orbs) to earn ressources!

Go near the chest and press I with at least one memory to summon a toy!

You cannot kill the nightmares but you can stun them using F!

Find and destroy the nests and survive for long enough to win the game.

Thank you for playing our game!

Unfortunately, we lacked time to put a serious tutorial in our game.
Please read our last comment or the itch.io page for more indications!

Interesting take on it, loved the cat character and vibe of the game! Was a bit lost at first (until i read the itch.io page in detail, but don't count on users doing that most times, would recommend putting some of the instructions / goals in-game)
