Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
You play as a claw machine in a car junkyard. Rip apart car parts and sort them by material in the corresponding dumpster. Move using WASD, SHIFT/SPACEBAR (down, up), F to pinch/release, Q/E to rotate and R to restart. Be quick, there is time running out!

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
“Weapon - A thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage.”
Therefore you are a weapon, a claw machine, a thing designed and used to inflict physical damage to vehicles. As a bonus you are eco friendly and sort trash, therefore harming global warming itself.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The sound, visuals and movement.

Yay PS buddies! Really loved the sounds and everything around this submission. The camera for the claws, the hard controls, just destroying this piece of garbage accord! Love just playing around with the physics on this one. Nicely done on the bones for the arm I really liked how that just looks and feels. The look of that thing just looks awesome. Picking apart pieces of the car was a little difficult but I really enjoyed doing that. It was just sandbox style fun. Also I was able to push the car off into oblivion before it spawned back which I thought was hilarious!

Really well done. Good job!

This was great, such a surprising setting but so well delivered! I adore the art style, it feels so aesthetically coherent and raw. Audio was so satisfying, whole thing was just really immersive, and I was impressed by how the movement and physics felt consistent and responsive. You really tapped into the joy of playing with the digger toy in a sandpit from my youth, which I assume is a pretty universal experience (?) and was very fun.

I love games with an environmental message, even if its just incorporated into the setting, it was cathartic to peel the car apart and tuck the bits into the neat lil' recycling dumpsters. The visual designs made it quite clear which was which, great job on that!

The claw-cam is suuuch a good decision, it was really helpful for lining up the dumpster drops. Great entry, really well done (and did you do this solo?? )!

Yup, I have the same childhood memory too :D Guess it is universal then. I am really happy that you enjoyed playing this! Thank you so much for this feedback! I figured the game would need a claw-cam right when I tested it. Stuff was falling out of sight all the time :D I really dig this aussie band called King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and their whole discography is basically an environmental message so I got inspired by them for sure. Aaand yup, all done solo. Had a lotta free time so I just used all of it :D Anyways, thank you so much!

The pleasure was all mine!

Omg, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard! I've only listened to Fishing for Fishies before, but the band absolutely has an amazing vibe, thanks for reminding me of them! I'm going to go listen to 'em properly now ehehe

Parts I like are the SFX, VFX retro filter. Overall, I found controls are actually enjoyable once you get them - they feel authentic, in a slightly frustrating way you'd expect for an amateur . The camera view of the claw is a great touch too . This has potential, super original.

I didn't get the sorting aspect until I peeked at the design document. I also thought maybe I was in a SMASH simulator at first and then learned finesse is required to dismantle each part of the car. If this were a full game I'd expect some more UI elements to show progress of the current task complete and perhaps some a tutorial level where you 'sort these 5 things' that are already off the car to help teach you the mechanics.

Neat concept, I can see this being a full game, along the lines of Powerwash Simulator. Maybe some more relaxing music would help set the vibe.

I had trouble damaging the car enough to get separate pieces off at first, but eventually got the hang of it. Perhaps there's opportunity to try simplifying controls for the sake of fun.

The secondary camera looking down the claw definitely helped, nice touch!

Sound effects and visual style are superb, well done.

The game's controls could us a bit of ease of use, or maybe i need a non time constraint tutorial to get used to stuff, cause i kept knocking the car away xD

I was also able to get rid of the car by grabbing it on the bottom, and shoving it into one of the bins, at which point it glitched very heavily and went out of my reach. For which i guess the reset button is for.

Missing the weapon part of the theme a little bit, but can see you being a destruction crane destroying cars as a function destructive game, well done.

The whole collision system is really janky cause I initially started with a wrong approach and had to redo it last minute, but I'll try looking into that. Tutorial is a must for sure. Since I'm solo dev I just didn't have time for that :D Honestly I just saw that instagram video I mentioned in my DDoc and just wanted to make it as a game even if it fit loosely with the theme :D Thank you so much for your feedback!

Sigma game, I love destroying Honda Accord car. Epic music as well. Took a bit to learn the controls though but after 2 tries, I was COOKING.
