Yes
Summarise your game!
It is a classic tower defense game, but you are a computer virus you can take over other servers, and you have to manage them all at the same time.
The story goes like this:
You are a computer virus that was created for the military, but you got out of containment. The company that created you is trying to destroy you. You fight back by taking over servers and stealing their "CPU Power," which you use as a currency to build defenses, and take over other servers. If you can beat the game, you find out what your secret directive actually is.
The game has a built-in tutorial in the beginning. Follow the yellow arrow, then after you infect your first server you can move the camera around and select any server on the map to preview before you buy it.
You get 300 CPU Power per Server owned + Total Server HP every wave
Mouse
Left Click - Select / Deselect / Advance Dialogue / Skip Intro
Right Click -Move Camera
Keyboard
Q - Deselect
M or E - Map
0-9 - Select Tower
F - Fast-Forward enemies on screen (Does not FF towers.)
Space - Advance Dialogue / Start New Wave
WASD - Move Camera
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The central story theme is that you were designed as a cyber weapon, but you got out of containment and are now wreaking havoc on the network.
The theme gameplay wise is the aspect of infecting new servers, because it's not just defending one site, you have to take over all of the servers to win.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The music is designed in a way that it becomes more complex the more servers you have. If you think the music track is too simple in the beginning, capture 6 or 7 servers and you will be mistaken. Also, as a challenge, the game is beatable. Try to beat it if you dare! (Capture all 10 servers, wait a round, hit END IT, then survive. I'm receiving a report the end screen may be broken in this build but if a certain thing says 2001, then you've won.)

The story in the game makes it more entertainment. I like the graphics and the fact that there are many levels and waves to play. Keep up the good work!!

This was a really cool tower defense game. I think the idea of having multiple areas to defend at once is really cool and makes the game a lot more interesting. You were not joking about wave 34 being rough lol. I think being able to switch areas and see the red and yellow exclamation marks on the UI in the top left would be a really nice addition. Great work on this!
Interesting game. Graphics and SFX were good. Seems pretty clear what everything is.
The different tower defense structures within the game is an interesting twist, that I enjoyed. Didn't think expanding was going to be as hard. But now that I've got the hang of it I think I would approach the econ of this game differently as a player. I'll echo others that a speed up could help with the flow of the game. I just kinda let it hang out. As a tower defense should be.
Great submission!
Hello fellow tower defense submitter o/
Cool game! I really like the old school windows ui.
The idea of multiple tower defense games happening at once is a great idea! It might take a little bit too long to get to get access to those additional areas though
I think the camera controls are a little bit of friction. I would recommend maybe trying to get the game screen to fit on a single screen if possible, but it might not work with the game you're going for whatever reason.
Nice job!
Your instructions were great (even I understood them, a monumental accomplishment). The bit flipping was a great touch. The graphics were nicely stylized, and the music + sfx were perfect for the theme of it. You did a great job! I do wish the game was slightly faster (like a speed up button or something?) but it is overall a great submission!
You did a great job of teaching the player how to play. I liked the detail of the 1s and 0s changing. Your handling of the map movement with the mouse is very well done. Great theme / aesthetics. I think you should get the player to move on to the next stage sooner, looks like they can spend a lot of time on the first page. For a game jam the pace should be a little faster if you want people to see all the content you made.
When i moved to pittsburgh i died because i couldn't buy enough stuff but i diidn't know it would be that hard. But now i think i understand the game more. you can switch between all the maps.
Awesome job, lots of good design here!!
