  • I thoroughly enjoyed playing the game, I think it was a good start and I would love to see the game expanded more and worked on. The game played well, but I missed a way to restart the game once you lost. The theme was well adopted, though I wished there was more interplay with the shadows and not like just the visual field/hp bar. I very much like the graphic / sound design of the game. Very much reminiscent of older games I played.
  • Overall solid. Love the gameplay loop, the art style is cool, music is great. To be honest I managed to get far through the waves without needing to use the alchemy - so would suggest incentivizing that mechanic more? Great work though!

Tell us about your game!
Light Keeper is a Survivor, top-down tower defense game where your character can cast spells, summon minions or give life to your “Nexus” by crafting them. Ingredients will be dropped by enemies slain during waves, however the player won’t know at first the recipes for those upgrades, forcing them to try and learn what can be done.

As I've stated on the game's main page:
"For what is basically a prototype there is quite a lot going on, loved it!

It would be interesting if in the future  there are more elemental combinations that lead to special effects."

The rat jump scared me 🐁 (Overall enjoyable game. Well done!)

It was well-put together. The core gameplay loop was solid. It did get repetitive, and while I understand the obfuscation of the recipes was a feature for the theme, it did feel like it detracted from the overall enjoyability.

Cute gfx & good game loop.
Could be potentially improved quite easily in the future (more enemies, weapons, maps, etc)

This game have a lot of potential!! It is a great game to keep the player playing until beat your own record.

I liked a lot the combinations and the results, but i think it will be a great idea to make a keybind for your combinations for you to use in the heat of the battle.

Was very fun to play, loved the concept. Can't wait to see where it goes with potential combinations for your resources picked up! Well put together for the jam

Nice! Would love to see where you take the game. An increase in abilities and difficulty would definitely add a lot. It'd be cool to also have a reason to leave the nexus instead of sitting on it the whole game. Good luck!

Nice work. Loved the art and music. Tight little game. Some of the UI like having to click the mouse sprite to get out of the intro didn’t make sense right away. Can’t go wrong with just a ‘Continue’ button.
