  • I think I got lost very early on after seeing the two lamps and ended up walking around the entirely gigantic map not seeing anything else but pillars and walls. Whoops. The sound was a decent accent to the game's art style. I can see this game going somewhere with a bit more direction given to the player and the map either filled out or shrunk down.

The player controls Bob in this shadow world, he is equipped with a lantern and has to explore this map to find a way out of this nightmare. The light can transform with different colors when interacting with lanterns, which can be found around the map. It’s important to keep your eyes open to these monsters that wander around because their objective is to make you one with darkness.

I loved the effect of the silhouettes of the object, indicating a 3d top down world while still looking very clean and almost 2d. Great choice! The game play is simple but nice and feels fair and satisfying to play. The sound effects and music are very effective as well. Good job, everyone!

Love the retro aesthetic. This reminded me of Atari 7800 games or Commodore 64 games. It was tricky at first, but I got the hang of it when I figured out how the lantern worked. Well done!

Nice game, I like the concept a lot!

My only negative feedback would be the expanse of the area, at least the beginning part. I did a lot of wandering before finding my first lantern. Might be a good idea to go with the "first one's free" approach, to get new players accustomed to things before throwing into the real world.

I may or may not have become one with the darkness..

Such a cute vibe! I'm in love with the walk animations!

The music's really good ! And the premise is interesting. Game was too hard for me tho. After several tries I found a blue lamp but couldn't get further than that.
Felt like if a monster saw me, I couldn't do anything  since they run faster.
I liked the "health" system where you could recharge the lamp to heal.

Fun game! I like Bob's little shuffle-step, it's really cute! I ended up getting lost a bunch, but that feels like the point. Also liked the NES inspired music!

It was very fun how the light gets dimmer as you take more damage, making it scarier. Maybe the map could be a bit smaller, as I got lost when my light radius was  so low. I loved the bit music, gave a bit of an undertale vibe. Well done!

I became one with the darkness.

Concise vibe overall, easy to pickup and understand what's going on with the color puzzles. Was able to light one candle, but boy did I get lost. Loved the Pokemon Lavender Town music. Nice job!
