- While I found the art style to be nicely done, and the way you decided to incorporate the usage of both themes, I found the act of having to combine certain products as a means to complete whatever task the character had at the time, to also move along the story, wasn't really compelling. Rather, the usage of this in the very beginning with changing the amount of coins you had available to you was more intriguing based on how it tied to the story. Sort of playing up this act of deception using the themes, and that had my interest at first. Also, being able to adjust the sounds and music would be a nice touch; too loud while playing. I'd would have liked to see more of how the character operated in a more creative manner than the use of "direct" alchemy or its products (ex. salts, elements, etc.).

I made a puzzle game where you combine and transform alchemical elements.
There is one special rule : Each object with a shadow can be duplicated into two copies of itself, the copies don't have a shadow.
There is some stories between puzzles !

Fun puzzle game.
I really liked the music and the graphics.
It really helped set the atmosphere of the game.
thank you !
I was enjoying how immersive the story was! Unfortunately when I got to the first salt puzzle, it did not let me transmute more than one salt. I think i need to duplicate the transmuter so that i could do it on both salts, but i messed up and could not figure out how to reset the puzzle.
As I comment this I see that it is in the extra notes to press R!
If you didn't finished it try it again if you want !
I should have made a clear text in the first puzzle, R for restart !
Interesting!
I missed that you could only duplicate things with a shadow, so which item could or couldn't be duplicated made no sense to me and I got stuck a bit at the end due to this. Managed to bruteforce it in the end :P
Good job
I take note for the full game: explain the mechanics better, so I could complexify the puzzle by not being able to bruteforce them while not being frustrating !
Thanks you very much for your feedback !
Fun game! The puzzles weren't too difficult which is good for a game jam IMO and let you showcase the mechanic off well. The pixel art isn't bad, everything is clear in terms of visuals and consistent which helps the puzzle solving, I really like that oasis landscape! You did a good job of choosing sound effects too :) Nice job on this game!
thank you I'm glad you liked it !
Amazing idea, i love the setting, the characters and the story, the puzzles are something else, you really delved into the subject of alchemy, the alchemy book and the sequence of puzzles to let you learn about the elements and the transmutations are very well thought off. Really above and beyond, congratulations!
Thank you so much, comment like yours are what motivate me to continue this project, checking your game soon !
I am not a fan of forcefully putting a player into Fullscreen. I rather I choose to do Fullscreen or not.
alright mister independant
Feedback is subjective. I play games in windowed mode on my desktop and I like my Webgl games not Fullscreen. it's my own feedback.
Thank you for the constuctive feedback.
Great art style with a good story, but the puzzles were the stars of the show. Realising you could duplicate the machine was my favourite moment!
thank you so much I'm glad you enjoyed the game !
Great artstyle! Appreciated the atmosphere, very interesting puzzles. Adding to my collection and waiting to see more! Good Luck!
thank you for this heartwarming comment !
Really nice game, using shadow to duplicate obj can be a really inresting strategy.
I will put a restart button because I run out of power on one of the machine before double it and got soft lock, anyways, really nice !
An enjoyable quick little game, I didn't notice the thing about the shadows and just threw everything at the duplicator :P. Don't really have any critique other than like some others said can be a bit annoying dragging multiple things to other screens, but that wasn't a big issue.
Fun game, with clever design, a cool take on the concept, and well polished ! The artwork and sound design are a standout, and the story makes for a good link between the puzzles. The concept is simple and efficient, and is used in clever ways, making you think outside of the box instead of just redoing what you just learned.
Good job !
Clever design, I like it! Took me way too long to figure out I can duplicate the salt purifier though, only to find out in the next level I cannot always do that. In general it wasn’t clear to me, when I could duplicate something or not. Also, navigating with WASD between the screens would be nice. Overall nice game, good job! 👏
Really clever way of playing out the shadow and alchemy aspect, I liked it. Felt creative and fresh. The background noises and art is amazing. Big kudos for them. Special thanks for having "instructions for dummies" book. I'm not sure if thats my skill issue or there is a bug on level where you need to get 2 salts (after dive competition). On salt did not change and at some point I couldn't pick the salt because salt machine was capturing all of the focus. Might be bug, might be feature :D
Overall great game, well done!
ah it's a shame you encountered a bug. Are you sure it isn't because of the salt polarizer not having enough uses?
Thanks for the heartwarming comment :D
Tbh, might be that it didn't have enough uses, but attempt of picking up salt bar might be a bug. Instead of salt bar it was picking the salt machine (although the mouse was clearly on salt bar).
alright got it, thanks !
Nicely challenging puzzles. Got some Myst -nostalgia out of this!
I want to be able to move multiple things at the same time since i have to constantly drag them from screen to screen!
Now the puzzles include a lot of repeated dragging a thing to edge of screen and changing screens with the little button just to move like 5 pieces around to another portion of table. I'd like to just bundle up the stuff i need from one screen and take them all to the next one or have some other kind of smoother navigating.
I also would have wished there was some way of knowing which objects i still can duplicate or can't. (Now that I read the description maybe there was a thing with shadows and them missing but I didn't notice while playing.)
Other than that, no comlaints! The story and the puzzles tied together well and the challenge was ramping up in a nice pace.
Thanks for your feedback, I agree with you the dragging is also my main gripe with my own game lmao.
You can duplicate every item with a shadow ! :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway :D
Very creative and feels polished, loved it!
Fun little game, I like puzzle games so that was a given for me.
Would've loved a few more levels !
Incredible work! I loved everthing about playing this game. The puzzles were very well made and incorperated the theme in a creative way. I also really liked the music and sound design too. I'd love to see you make this into a full fledged game!
thank you for your warm comment !
Feedback like yours really motivates me to push forward and turn this project in a complete game :)
I will try your game soon
