Judge forgot to press "send" on the feedback but sent it to me afterward, so here's a copy paste (mostly for my own reference so I can have all the feedback in the same place :P) :

"This is a game I could chill and dig for hours without realizing how much time has passed. The environment, music, and mechanics all make for an incredibly enjoyable experience.

The digging and exploration of the environment felt great, I like how you implemented the theme with transforming what you mine into upgrades. I can see where you're going with the game and all the different ways you can enhance the character with the unavailable upgrades, which only makes me intrigued to see them completed. The story also left me wondering why we are digging down and curious to see what is down deep in the core.

I would have liked to have seen more obstacles/hazards that added tension and risk to the experience of digging into an unknown environment. Even without enemies you can build tension and create engaging puzzles through clever use of the environment.

Overall, I mainly want to see this game competed as I can see it being a really fun game."

Love the humor. Unfortunately I didn't know what to do in the purple area. It said no more upgrades, there wasn't enough ore lying around, I was just digging to no end. The starting area was nice and overall it's a pretty good base for a great game.

Nice one! Reminds me of Steam World Dig in some way, which is a game I quite like. As others had said, the demo ended quite early when I was wishing for more. The character and the art style match and look quite nice too.

I am seeing a lot of potentials in this demo, and I sincerely hope you continue on developing this little game! Anyway, nice job!

Interesting game!

Game is a bit stuttering in the browser and unsure of why the loading screen was used. Overall I like the aesthetics of the game and the narrative portion is grade A. Also great to see you did not force people into a Fullscreen mode and had the view port as a good size.

I was disappointed when this ended! This was great work. Nice visuals and UI, fun core loop. If you get the shader caching cleaned up along with maybe some directional feedback or maybe more obstacles to better guide you along an intended route. There were a couple times I started to feel a bit lost.

Overall excellent work!

Loved the art, especially the background art. The sounds and effects for destroying rocks were pretty satisfying and there being an upgrade system shows it definitely has potential for a full game. The colour scheme is also a good choice, very alien. I think the movement could do with a little more weight, especially since the main character is a rock, currently the character stops as soon as you let go of a movement key, but that's just a suggestion :)

Really chill digging game, i like it. My rocky boy is really nice !

Intro is fantastic and it fits really well the game. GG !

This game is so chill. I love it.

I did get stuck at Prove your Strength? I'm not sure if I went too deep to quickly and didn't upgrade? I had purchased two of the break more things upgrades, but then couldn't afford any more with my current wallet and none of the other upgrades were purchasable.

V fun though, I look forward to playing more when you release it! You are releasing it, right? :D

Very fun mining mechanic, I got to the "Prove your strength" but then I died I think?  I'm not sure I didn't see an enemy or anything.  One suggestions is to grey-out or hide the unavailable shop options.  Other than that, very fun!

I loved this game and I WANT MORE! I would love to explore more about this amazing world with this incredible pixel art. I enjoyed every second I played.

The only problem I has was that I could Throw the pickaxe in before I unlocked the arms. Beyond that, I can't wait to see more about this game.

ahah I actually did fix that bug with being able to throw the pickaxes too soon before, but it came back somehow !

Thanks ! I'll have a big update ready when upload are allowed again after judging :)

I need more! I need to go deeper!

First of all the art and music were fantastic and I had such a great vibe and time throughout the demo. I love games like this and I instantly want more.

The opening scene was amazing and really funny with the "You are a rock. Move with WASD. Rocks cannot move" really got me.

There was a little issue where I could already throw pickaxes at the start before I even had arms and as you mentioned in your description a little cache/lag issue but that didn't' stop me. I also quickly closed the end of demo popup and read the info.

I kept digging until I think I found the bottom where it was just an unbreakable blueish wall.

I really enjoyed this and my only complaint is that it was too short. Give me moreeeee!

Thanks!

Good news is I'm definitely continuing this one, 100% sure, so you will get more soon enough ;)

(Blue wall is indeed the bottom right now, and also I had ore programmed for the pink biome but forgot to enable it, oops)

I loved the intro scene and the artwork you did. Finding a big geode with a lot of diamonds is thrilling, but sadly there is a cap on the number of diamonds, so I had to leave some of my precious gems behind. :'( Despite that rude  diamond cap haha, I had a very fun experience!

Superb aesthetic, nice music. I really like the pixel art.
Controls could be slightly improved.
A jump and fall animation would have added a better feel to the control I believe.
I had random lag spikes throughout the game. (mostly before and after cutscenes / animations)

P.S. You guys went ham with the menus. Damn!

So good news, the game works, it does stutter a few times, where the frames drop to 0 for a few seconds, but otherwise its fine.

Did reach a moment where could not pickup more stuff, and also did not have enough money to buy anything, so i guess i was done with the game at that point? xD

The art style look good, and gameplay reminds me of the games mentioned in your GDD (especially Motherload)

The Theme isn't really present in regards to the gameplay besides the upgrade system, though that is not complete it seems (or i did not mine far enough).

Overall job well done on making something fun, interesting and playable, good job.
