- The GDD was clean an easy to follow. However, I would've liked to see if you had planned anything more. Such as stretch goals for including crouching, or a zoomed aim. I also noticed you had not listed what the controls were for the mechanics other than moving. The game itself was easy to understand with the Controls listed on the actual game page though! I enjoyed the health art as it changed, and that you could exchange your own health refills to hurt nearby enemies instead - very clever! I noticed the scatter when firing in succession. It made it hard, but I'm also not great at FPS in general. I will add that the first time effects happen (i.e. switching weapons the first time, exploding the health barrels, firing the first time, etc), or if I clicked off the game, it would stutter and take a while to return to normal function. But that may also be my computer being ornery. Overall, a fun game and I'd love to see where any future development would take it!

nice game! it was fun and i liked the artstyle
did some speedrunning too, got 21 seconds
definitely needs a tutorial, a lot of people don't read the itch description
i was able to kickjump off a wall which felt unintentional
for some reason shooting the enemies in their body dealt more damage than the head which is kinda weird
i've also had the game crash a few times aswell
it felt like the best speedrun strat was to just ignore the enemies, which is a little weird for a game where you're "just a tool to kill the enemy"
in general tho, i liked the game!
Thanks for playing my game!
Good job on the time, I think the top time as of now is 14 seconds (my buddy is way to good at speed running)
I'll definitely be adding a tutorial in the finished version, Ive got whole story in my head for the game that I wish I could've explored more in the jam submission. I think in the finished game ill be adding arenas like in ultrakill and doom so the player fights the enemies. I'm also going to work on the arsenal as the guns at the moment are to linear in their gameplay for the kind of game im going for. I'll look into the body doing more damage thing
Nice prototype for a FPS game! I had some lag problems the first time that some animations where triggered (for instance the first time an ennemy is shooting toward us) (Or hitting the barrels resulted in crash for me). The second weapon felt quite powerfull. I did not manage to reach the end, I'm not too good at this kind of games. Thanks for joining the jam, I hope you had fun starting this project and that you will continue working on it!
Cool game! Drink gasoline. A good shooter experience. It has some problems—maybe it's the web port's fault. The game becomes laggy when enemies start moving; the more enemies moving, the laggier it gets. The last part sometimes crashes. Really cool game, though! I accidentally kicked some fuel tanks xd
Dang, wish I could have tried this game, but the game itself seems to be removed. Tried on different browser to exclude browser error.
Nice submission, being able to use the barrels in two different ways (explode to kill enemies or heal you) is a really cool mechanic!
Thanks man! I'm glad you liked my game, the barrels were actually inspired from signalis in a way, I really enjoyed the resource management in the game but was wondering how you would implement resource management into a fast paced movement shooter so I came up with the barrel idea!
I’m terrible at FPS games, but thought this one was really fun! Liked the map design and ability to approach it with different strategies (different guns + kick). Good game!
Hey thanks man! I really wanted to game to feel non-linear with my map design and im glad it showed through in the design
This doom style fps is really cool, I like the look, the 2D art is super stylish, I was having some major performance issues and actually crashed my browser at one point, it felt like maybe the cursor sensitivity was a little lower than I expected with how fast you run, but I know my cursor sensitivity was causing problems when I ported to web in my own submission so I'm not sure if its intended or not. When I wasn't having the performance issues though, this was really really fun! my only real note would be, if there was some jammin music track playing while you're blastin through I think it would be a major step up in game feel!
Hey thanks for the feedback! I got some performance issues on my end as well so ill definitely look into that, think it could be that fact that the game doesn't compile the shaders before play. As for the sensitivity ill certainly have to add a setting for that. As for the lack of music im not the best composer but ill definitely look into add some!
