Nice game, reminds me a lot of Geometry Dash which I used to love to play! The visuals are really nice, well chosen color palette, gave me a real synthwave vibe. Music is nice as well. I also like that you added multiple ways to control the little music note. I was confused as well about some spikes disappearing, maybe some more in-game feedback would've made it more clear that they disappear when you jump on beat? My highscore so far is 75.12 seconds.

thanks for the feedback

about the spikes, we didnt have where to put a how to play button to write it and on the right in the screen it wouldn't look good so we didnt think it would be smart to put them in game(we puted it in the game page)

nice. Well done

Graphics are pretty solid in this guy! Impressive you put together your own music too. I was confused about the spikes disappearing, but I see now on the game page that they disappear when you jump to the beat. It never hurts to throw in a quick 'how to play' in the game as well so people don't miss out on details like that. I think the background would greatly benefit from having a parallax effect thrown in to give the game some feel of motion. I'm not sure how you programmed the game, but it looked like it might be Pygame. If so, here's a tutorial on how to implement if interested.

Great work! Keep it up!
Developer

first thanks for the feedback

second, we didnt really have place for the how to play button(the screen took a while to make)

and yeah we made it with pygame, the moving background is not a problem we just didnt have second background to put and we thought it will be good like that

HOW BEAUTIFUL IT LOOKS! But maybe it was worth adding an additional complication when you didn't get into the rhythm, for example, increasing the speed? Anyway, it's cool!

I don't know if I played it wrong but for me when I tried to play I didn't really get if I was supposed to jump in time with the music or what because I could maybe get past 2 obsticles and then I always died. I feel like the jump wasn't high enough to get over 2 stacked boxes. So that was pretty frustrating and that might have been the point of the game. That being said, I really loved the visuals, especially the bright color choices and the music. It gave the game a very cool look!

Developer

the jump needed to be a little over 2 blocks but it may wasnt(it did a lot of problems)

you could jump with the beat to make the spikes disappear

thanks fro your feedback

I like the idea of a rhythm based infinite runner. I think the jumping could be adjusted to be a bit less floaty but It's a good game.

I did notice the spikes would often disappear but it didn't seem to be an issue.

Developer

the spikes disappear when you jump by the beat thats how it connects to the theme "every jump by the beat the spikes disappear"

thanks for your feedback

Oh I see, I hadn't noticed that.

The idea is cool, makes me think of Geometry Dash. The thing is your jump does not fit in 1 or 2 beats, so the rhythm feels really secondary. I like your visuals, well done.

Nice platfomer, the jump isn’t very precise but it’s ok The style is dope!

Submitted

Platformer with rhythm? Hell yea, thts a great combination! I do have trouble with the jumping height, sometimes it's impossible to proceed the game, but the visuals are amazing, the gameplay is still good! Congratz for your submission! XD

Developer(+1)

the jump high was a little problem to do and to make it work on every screen...

happy you liked the game and thanks for the feedback

No problem!

Super charming visuals, I especially loved the moving feet of the lil eighth note dude. I think focusing on tightening the rhythm aspect of the game would be a good next step. Enjoyed!

Developer

yeah it was a little hard on making in rhythm game

but thanks for the feedback

Fun game, I think making the camera scroll in chuncks, and they scroll to the beat could have helped bring out the rhythm theme more. I got a score of 96:P

Developer

what do you mean in camera scroll chuncks

like that the camera will move by the beat?

and thanks for the feedback
