I love the rotating background effect, I think it looks great but there might need to be more contrast between that background and the foreground gameplay elements.

I agree, if the speed changes it should also be communicated more clearly.

Any updates?

Thank you, I really appreciate your feedback. I have heard others make the same comment and I agree with them, I think I had tried to over-complicate it by making the attributes random and hidden but as I focus on updating the project I would like to make it clearer to the players.

Great game polish, concept and design. I couldn't however win any games and lost 6 times in a row and found it difficult to play. I re-read the instructions but I wonder if I am missing something?

When there are many boxes on screen it would be nice to be able to click to select a box or have a faster way to find the right box.

Thank you for your feedback.

The game ties into the theme by building a large streak or correct answers (strength in numbers). It’s not a perfect fit but the idea for the game came around at the start of the jam and I was keen to try a different engine.

I tried to avoid subjective attributes which I found quite difficult to do. I have included a hints section which will describe the attributes which I think should get rid of sone in ambiguity but I agree that it should be more intuitive.

I might change it so that the attributes are shown but hidden for harder levels.

Done

Deductle is my entry in the #JumpShipJam. Deductle is a Wordle-like deduction puzzle game where your challenge is to guess the words based on clues.

This is a really cool game idea. I think it could be made clearer to the player how to play, especially for those not familiar with technology. I followed the Youtube video but I could not figure a way to solve level four which is a shame because I would have liked to play more.

If you enjoyed this game and want to see more. please be sure to follow for updates!

Up and down buttons seem to be very responsive but the left and right don't seem to work if I hold them down?

I have made 6 Unity projects for game jams so far so this time I will be trying to make a game using just HTML, CSS, JS and a few other frameworks.

This is an interesting game but a bit frustrating waiting for the light to change.

I would consider submitting the game to one game jam maximum instead of five. I don't see how this follows the theme.

I like how you have kept the levels clean and simple so that the player only has to focus on what is important. The black and yellow colours also work really well.

There are some times when walking on the spikes will either kill you completely or not, I am not too sure what the intended effect it should have on the player.

I like the core mechanic but I struggled to get up the part near the start where you have to climb the platforms. I think it might be helpful to spend a little bit more time in the game easing the player into the chain mechanic.

What an interesting idea for a puzzle game. I think a little more description about the gameplay either in the itch.io page or the game itself would really help.

The concept is original and the game is put together well. Well done!

Interesting game but I am confused by what the symbols at each junction mean.

Great game, feels really well polished too.

I like the core gameplay idea of the shrinking view.

Btw, did you guys join up as a team to make this game or do you regularly work together? I wonder if you would be interested in collaborating together for future game jams.

You definitely should anyway, I think a game like this deserves more than 48 hours to be worked on and play tested a bit more as it has a lot of potential.

What a brilliant game, I would love to see this expanded on after the jam, I think it would be really fun to play more of. The style fits really well and seeing the character react really adds a good sense of urgency to the game. #

I know it would be a lot more effort to  implement but this could be a great format for a multiplayer game with friends as well, perhaps letting each player decide on a ruleset after every few rounds?

Clever idea and well executed!

Great game and amazing production given the 48 hour time limit!

Very impressive and great effort for a 48 hour jam.

Even on the medium difficulty it feels as if you are dropped into the action quite quickly. Perhaps introducing new enemies more slowly would help with people who are new to the game.

This is an interesting take on the Trolley Problem but as others have mentioned I think having the game assign value to certain decisions makes it a bit troubling. Some might say sacrificing yourself is more ethical then killing five other people for example.

I do like the game idea though and perhaps it could be expanded to be more of a puzzle game with more concrete rules.

A very clean and well polished game packed with juice!

I like the concept and the take on  the theme. I wonder how the game could be expanded to play on the risk/reward concept by letting players choose more about how much risk they want to take.

This game has a great game feel and the concept is really unique and I can see it would have a lot of opportunity to be expanded on in the future. It also suites the theme really well.

One thing that isn't clear to me is how much health I have though.

Very cool game!

If you wouldn't mind rating my game as well please have a look:

I had some difficulty reading the text for the letters but otherwise the style was really nice.

It says the web version has lighting issues, but is there a PC build available?

It would be nice to be able to reset the level before you run out of shots.

Quite simple. It would be nice to see more work on the visuals.

This game is very very addictive but I think it would more potential as a strategy or tower defence game as opposed to an idle game as you get to a certain point where the automatic hole digging and moving platforms are able to catch everything.
