Overall a really nice experience, enjoyed the game, slayed the Crustacean!!

The combat felt nice, the lantern gimmick was cool, although I feel like the sounds balance on flaming objects (or the hurt sound) was a bit unbalanced and too loud! (also their is a weird clipping sound at the end of the jump vfx)

Stages and sprites look nice, I just wish for a bit more action on a few of them. With a little tinkering, more stages and enemy variety I could see this as a nice little adventure game down the line! Well done!

Cool game! I like that the game is visually clear on where to block and do stuff! The high/low attacks and block mechanics are the highlights of this project.

I think adding a telegraph for enemies would be nice to better prepare yourself to block! The character movement also feels a little stiff when you start to move from a full stop. I think the game will benefit a bit if you bump up the acceleration to make the character to feel more snappier.

Really nice look to this game. Loved the concept of using the blood to recover your health and how the combat system worked too!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

I like the simple nature of the game, but the commands were a bit difficult for me. My fingers just don't naturally fall on those keys so it felt like I was reaching for  the controls and mis-hitting buttons.  I feel it could have benefited from BG music too. Aside from that, it was SUPER fun!

Good call on controls and music. Still experimenting with different controls. I also created some music for it, but didn't have time to clean it up for release. Maybe I'll get it in an update. Glad you enjoyed it

I like the general concept and idea of the game and it is was fun to play. The art is really nice and consistent, but sadly suffers a little bit from sub-pixels and non pixel-perfectness from Unity. The controls feel a little bit floaty, and I think there might be better keys, e. g. UJIK are more vertically aligned than IJOK. I constantly pushed the wrong buttons.

The combat system in general is really cool nonetheless and is really satisfying. Enemies felt like they are taking turns on the attacks, so you could patiently wait, parry and then attack. Very cool!

Burning down the fields was also a really nice idea.

Very nice and fun entry overall, a little bit rough around the edges and could use some polish.

Crustacean!!!

Thanks for checking it out. Yeah, the pixel part was probably my fault - new to making 2D games, so I'll have to learn how to handle pixels to have a more authentic feel.  The controls were definitely a point of contention for us. My buddy who did the art agrees with your control scheme, though I still find them all the approaches awkward so far. Might have to play around with that a bit more in case we ever expand upon things.

This game has such a interesting combat sistem. The parry mechanics feels good and it gives u time to react and attack. Maybe the interface is not the best but I like the way it is, is not invasive :) Maybe with time this game could be on Steam haha luck! (Im sorry for the english)

Thanks for the feedback. Definitely wanting to smooth out a few of the rough edges :)

Good ideas, like cutting off the lamps. There's even a boss. Work on sounds and tempo and it will be very good.
