Best visuals :)
This was a fun little platformer! The lightning FX were sick af by the way! Sometimes the next cloud spawned right in front of me giving me nearly no time to react which led to several deaths. Wish I had known I could move with the arrow keys earlier lol! Using AD and left shift to run is always a weird stretch on my hands that doesn't feel comfortable. But the arrow keys fixes that!
Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to play our entry and for hosting this jam! We’ve learned a ton from participating! Thank you for the kind words! We tried to make the clouds spawn at random positions based on the player’s location and height, but it was easier said than done 😅, which introduced a few nasty bugs and behaviors. We’re planning to iterate on this prototype in the future, so we’ll definitely take your suggestions into account for improvements. Thanks again for playing and sharing your thoughts!
Thank you for taking the time to play our entry and for your awesome feedback! We couldn’t clearly communicate the evolving part as well as we wanted, but we’ll try to improve that in the future after the jam ends. Currently, when you reach the threshold, you can jump higher and the clouds become more distant, but we didn’t have time to add more distinctive VFX to highlight that. Thanks again for playing our entry and for all the suggestions!
Nice visuals!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play our entry :)
The Main Menu art is beautiful. The game itself is very basic though, and isn't be so much about evolving a species, but more about leveling up a single character. It's a decent first attempt at a 3D though!
Feedback for polish (because you asked for it on the page):
- It would be nice if the camera kept centered on the player.
- Sometimes the clouds would spawn right in front of you, leaving no room to react.
- One time I had like 10 clouds spawn on top of each other, too far away for a jump, so had to wait a long time to make progress.
- The floors could use a texture, or grass, or something to make them more visually appealing.
- Clouds could use some animations.
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Glad to hear you liked the Main Menu art! 😊 We'll definitely look into your suggestions, especially with the camera centering and cloud spawning issues. Adding textures and animations for more polish is a great idea too. Thanks again for the constructive feedback—it's super helpful as we work to improve this prototype after the jam ends. !
The start screen looks amazing! My compliments to the artist. I also liked the lightning effect.
The camera needs some work though. I could often hardly see what’s coming when I was on a cloud.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to play our entry! 😊 We really appreciate the feedback on the camera and will definitely look into improving it after the jam. Thanks again for playing!
Haha I used the extact same music for my first game when I started. Good luck on your jouney guys ^ ^
Haha, that's awesome! It was the only one that somehow fit the prototype from that pack!😅 Good luck to you too! 😊
It was hard to control at start but visuals are good :D
Thank you for taking the time to play our game and for your feedback!
It was hard to get used to controls at first, but after several tries it clicked and I managed to evolve my jump!! :) By the way, the thumbnail for this game is STUNNING!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play our entry and for the kind words
