I like the idea a lot! very fun game!

This was super fun and compelling, definitely the kind of idle game that would work great on mobile. It wasn't completely clear to me how rarity and quality differently affected the price, though. Another idea that might be interesting is to have an option to upgrade the amount of time you have remaining?

Wow, this is extremely addictive. This has a serious potential as a timewaster, I would for sure spend way too many hours playing this. Note: it would be very satisfying to get a list of the items you got at the end of the game :)

That is great to hear! And yes, that is an excellent idea. I might have it rain down all the items you got into a basket on the end-screen if I get the chance.

It's a good job you put a time limit on this because I can imagine watching my money go up for hours!

Developer

yeah... A questionable amount of dev time was lost to "playtesting" before I added in the timer. Glad you had fun! (Maybe an endless mode is in order for a post jam update?)

Endless mode could be fun. I'm curious what else is hiding down there.

I think it's a clever take on the jam "Stealth" theme. It's not you who hidden, but the object are. Picking up object are see money + rarity make brain happy, like in those Diablos game. However I think the startup is slow, speed up the progression in the early game would make it more satisfying to play.

I'm happy to have made your brain happy, and it's a good sign to me that it scratched the Diablo itch! As for the progression, I was trying to balance it to where the player would end right on the brink of spiraling out of control, so the end scores would end up around the same place, but I totally agree that it's frustrating to have to get lucky to break out of the first few upgrades. I'm thinking of ways to reduce RNG dependence if I decide to do an update post-jam.

I really liked the aesthetic and sound for this game! I don't think it fit the theme for this game jam though and the gameplay was a little repetitive, with not much skill needed. Perhaps maybe a bit more variety in the gameplay would increase the re-playability.

Thank you! It was fun snapping photos of a whole bunch of random objects from my room. You're right about the repetitive nature, in hindsight I could have made the minigame for finding items increase the overall price of the item if the player did it fast enough.

Idea is interesting.
I kept getting cheap items even when investing into rarity and quality. Should give it another they to check if I'm better off investing in just grasp.

Didn't see any way to exit game other than alt+F4 which is not good if you go for downloadable game :(

Developer

Thank you for trying it out!

Those are all valid points of criticism, and after voting is done I will probably push an update to fix the big issues. (like a quit button)

Rarity and quality upgrades do help, but I absolutely could have made it clearer what the multipliers do. (for instance you can't get anything above a rare without some investment into rarity)
