I enjoyed the SFX so much. I could sit and catch my fish all day. I would like a little explanation in game. Took me a second to figure out I could catch the oil barrels for more fuel.
Nice work!
It pains me that you couldn't figure out how to refuel, you can collect the barrels with the net! I really hope you enjoyed.
I figured it out eventually =D
Nice! Maybe it goes a bit fast between "I need to look for fish" to "I am totally swarmed by agresive fish", but I enjoyed the hell out of the gameplay!
I agree, I think I should have made the spawn algorithm not linear. I think the swarm of fish can be really fun however, glad you enjoyed!
Great work! Enjoyed the game.. loved the trailer also. Cheers!
Thanks!
Ohhh I love the polish in this game! You wouldnt think of it on the screenshots, but the game feels really, really nice to play and looks nice thanks to the effects you put in it, fantastic job!
Thank you, I put a lot of work into the tiny details. I agree the screenshots don’t really capture the fun of the game. If I had more time the map would have had so much more decoration. Glad you enjoyed!
Wow you created a trailer for your game as well! Thats next level! Good work!
Thanks, I had the really silly idea for it in the middle of the jam and thought some really deep lore would be pretty funny. I hope you liked it!
The gameplay is unique, but becomes repetetive quite quickly. I like your interpretation of the theme though. Alright graphics and sound overall i think! Good job
Thanks, I did actually put a lot of thought into making gameplay less repetitive by making different sections of the map, fish with unique abilities, and just more cool stuff in the background. Of course, we ran out time. I feel in the final product the gas barrels aren’t very balanced, and make the game start easy, and get insanely hard around the 1000 mark, meaning a lot of boring gameplay.
Neat concept and well executed!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Good game. Too bad the leaderboard doesn't work(
Thanks, I really enjoyed this jam!
And I just got it working if you want to try again :)
I love that theme interpretation, at first I didn't get how to catch fishes but when I did my score1944, I really enjoyed it
That is extremely impressive, good job!
The movement messed me up (again, as it also did in the last game I played :P)
I would expect W to be accelerate and A/D to steer. This direct movement in the direction you are pressing somehow jsut does not click for me :) Also I'm not a fan of the camera zooming in and out. It can become quite jittery when you are bumping into the sides.
Took some time before I ever encountered a fish but I managed to catch a few.
Ended up scoring 95 on my 1st try.
Great job !
I don't know how I didn't think of making the movement like that, I'm sorry. I had to scrap the settings menu near submission time because it wasn't working, so some of those things like that camera zoom aren't changeable anymore. The way the spawn algorithm works it definitely takes a while for the fish to appear, and in hindsight I should have had a couple pre placed. I hope you enjoyed it!
Great interpretation of fishing. 10/10
I would love to take credit for the idea, but I originally wanted to make a space game. This idea was my teammate (Coeur), and it is amazing. Thanks!
Great game and as a seasoned fisher I also love the theme! Its a shame the leaderboards didn't work ;( Please try out my game: https://zombonline.itch.io/lucifer-lamb
Thanks, I will!
