I like the idea of climbing on the wall its pretty cool and lends itself to a stealth game! It feels a bit strange to me though and hard to grasp. Turning around and such. It might be a skill issue though. The hacking was really cool, reminded me of hell divers and I love the sounds! Great work!
The little twist with substituting jumping for climbing is a great twist, and forces the player to think about the playing space in a completely different way, I like it a lot. My only complaint would be that the climbing controls are a bit uncomfortable with the direction switch.
Great job! Feels simple yet polished game! Went back my to GTA san andreas days after trying to scan the files!
Great game! I loved the music, it really enhances the whole experience! I had some trouble getting used to how the spider moves, I kept trying to jump to a parallel wall. Nice work though!
Thank you for your review vitorascorrea , Vitorascorrea. We decided on a puzzle-styled game, so you might have had problems navigating, but anyway, thank you for playing our game! hope you have a nice day :)
I like the movement, it makes traversing the level a puzzle and it forced me to think about how to get to places. Good use of the theme - when the time was running out, I really felt the pressure of finding a door and getting to it.
Ideas to try:
1. Speed up the game by increase movement speed and reducing the timer. I think this will make the game more engaging by reducing the boring time of walking. The player is more likely to try again if a round is quicker too.
2. Add an option to bypass security. Sometimes I get stuck between two things I can't cross. Maybe it's a dash that has to be timed right, or a limited resource.
2. Zoom out the camera more, so the player can see further and have more option to plan their path
3. Place a computer near the spawn, so the player gets practice right away.
Overall, very good execution on a creative idea!
Thanks! I will definitely take these into consideration
Thanks for the feedback, super thoughtful! I do like the feedback of a computer by spawn especially. We wanted to include some kind of player ability such as invisibility on a cooldown to give an additional option to bypass security, but ran out of time. The idea is that the player should be forced to touch some scanners so the "push your luck" pressure is still here, but avoid more with clever pathing and use of invisibility.
Hey i really liked this game!
The computer hacking minigame was a nice way to improve gameplay, the sounds feel polished and brings the spy feel for the game.
Very nice job!
Super fun to play! Though it can be confusing to tell which direction is left or right sometimes after changing walls
I got 2nd! Love that you went for a leaderboard-based stealth game. Was hoping to see something like this! The controls took me a second to full grasp, but once I did, it was a fun experience. Would love to see different levels with different stealth-oriented puzzles to try and solve, if you were to pursue this game further.
22nd place is good enough for me. Seems very hard to beat the devs :))
Very much liked the theme and music and overall feel. File names are soo funny!
Would love to see more random generated worlds, but it can be very hard to balance and with such long game sessions getting stuck somewhere can be really frustrating
Yeah the original plan was to procedurally generate the facility every time, but we decided it was too much for a weekend.
i am in your walls… let me in… let me in… seriously though, cool game, only real criticism I’d give is that I was impatient with the scanning, otherwise, cool stuff
I am the spy spider, master of arrows.
Great feel, top notch music. The push your luck added the right amount of tension.
Thanks for your feedback on the music!
Really cool design, the sound and visuals definitely all gelled really nicely to give an espionage feel. I like the little arrow game to scan the files. Wasn't entirely sure what downloading the files was doing initially and the map can be a little frustrating to navigate....maybe its too zoomed in?? Anyway great game and could be onto something cool.
Cool concept. I can definitely see this being fleshed out with lore and a story.

This make you feel like a Spy! I love the aestethic and soundtrack.
