The game was fun, and does look good. But i got confused when the player moved on WASD, because in the help page, it said ZQSD to move
Took some getting used to with the controls but really cool once I did. Love the visuals and vibe!
I really liked it, the controls feel a bit sluggish from the perspective of a platformer. But it gives jump kimg vibes how you have to hold the button to jump, and actually feels not bad after a couple of minutes.
I reached the boss, the right head attacked me and i disappeared, after that i couldnt do anything, i dont know if i was stuck to the ground or something (the camera moved a bit down) but game was pretty fun
I liked the level design very much: how from simple and maybe a little sluggish controls you squeezed every opportunity to get player to try every combination of jump and crouch at some places. And I even didn't get stuck once!
Visuals are top too!
Cool visual style. Looks like you put jump on the release of the button which felt odd. Also couldn't figure out how to defeat the enemies?
Jumping delay issue aside, that was an outstanding lil game. Simple but deep graphics and uniquely foreboding colors. Cool enemies that feel strong, but not too difficult to beat (for people like me with lame reflexes). Love it!
Very cool entry overall!
The graphics are amazing, and everything fits together very coherently.
I really liked all the little effects, like the camera shake when the boss hits you and stuff like that or the light getting brighter as you reach the exit. It makes the game feel really polished and professional.
The lack of sounds or music is very unfortunate though, I feel like it holds the game back a lot.
In terms of feedback:
In terms of game feel, I feel like the jumping feels a bit sluggish. You get used to it, but it feels like there's a small delay in between you pressing the button and Dante jumping. Same goes for the attack: it feels like you can attack much much faster than the animation shows you. At first I was fighting with the animation, and then realized I could spam the attack button much faster and everything became a bit easier.
At some points you require the player to dodge and then jump in a combination that can feel a bit finnicky at times, but I thought it was a cool gameplay idea!
Very solid game overall, keep up the great work!
Nice game!
Jumping was weird but consistent enough to get used to.
Boss fight was a bit hard to understand but I beat it at the end. one of the first things I did was jump on the boss head and hit for 100+ times with no effect. Number after every hit kept growing so it felt like I'm doing the right thing.
Great entry!
The art style and the color palette was really fitting with the whole game.
My only complant was that the jump had some delay
Nice aesthetics. The world looks really big to me and I can choose any path to go. I like this
Really love how you have achieved such interesting looking background with just cubes. More than just the fact it's pixel art. It has a good minimalistic vibe to it
I love the variety of enemies and how they look. The UI is really polished as well.
One complain I have is the delay in jumping. I had to get used to it and it stopped being a problem. But feels like a bug.
I would play it again later to finish it. Already died thrice : (
Cool game! I really like the art and the variety of enemies and souls to collect! Good job :D
Played it and enjoyed it! Nice platformer! A bit of delay in the jump and attack actions, and I personally like to customize the controls in this genre. But after all, I liked it pretty much, and really appreciate the art and the fact that you went full solo on this! Balls!
Cheers!
the game was super fun!
it would it be even better with sounds effects that give you some hints when you hit the enemies
I was clueless with the final boss at first but then i tried a different tactic
really good job!
