Platformers need tight controls and these are sloppy. The reverse-parallax continuous background scrolling makes it feel like you are spinning around, and makes judging the jumps way harder than it should be. Nice art assets, but very frustrating gameplay experience.

My best score: 130 (?)

Gameplay: 3

It is a very good idea with a nice selection of enemies, i just feel that i die basically randomly, its hard to know in advance what will kill you and what will not.

Theme: 3

The game doesnt really feature escaping that much, its just mentioned on the game page but ig the theme is so simple that it works

Aesthetics: 4

The pixel sizes of the sprites are a bit all over the place, the sprites dont really match each other, some are shaded really well, others are not, but otherwise its good.

Sound: 4

Music is nice, sound does all it needs to but not much more, maybe some more variation in the effects?

Overall a nice submission, hope you had fun making it:) Keep up the great work!

It can sometimes be a bit unforgiving, but still pretty fun to play !

Overall i liked it, i think is a bit to hard and the hitboxes are huge, but the art look great and i love the character animation

Was very buggy on my end, hard to access what feels like crucial gameplayt features. The auto-scrolling is very slow. What engine was this made in? Behaved quite strangely. Otherwise, quite decent!

Developer

Hello! The game was made in godot. The autoscrolling is supposed to increase slowly over time, but perhaps it was too slow to make a difference. I was the only person to work on the game, so there were a few bugs that i was only able to find after publishing it. Could you please provide me with the bugs that you got?

Nice game! Sound and art are brilliant. Mechanics as well are great. Really enjoyed playing.

Game's art and sound is good but mechanics are not that smooth but overall I liked the game.

there is a lot to like. The graphics, the sounds, the verity, the proc-gen levels. ye....

I would like it to be zoomed in a little more, I wasn't using the top most-of-the-screen to play anyway.

I want to be able to back up faster, especially in a game where the screen is moving constantly, I want the velocity of the screen to be added to my movement leftwards. Or rather, I should move left and right WRT the ground at the same speed. And it seemed more liek I was moving left and right WRT the screen.

everything feels so cohesive. All the enemies are easy to indentify and well differentiated.

I do wish, espeically in a little pocket sized game, that there was more information embedded into the game. Either that or a more merciful damage mechanic so I can still experiment without such a high cost.

I like how similar the jump and the arrow are.

Ahhhh. I feel this game is really good - I found myself increasing frustrated trying to figure out what kills me and what does not, mostly trial and error which results in me starting all over again. I did keep coming back though so that says something. Banger of a soundtrack.
