I had a difficult time locating the garage at the end, I was expecting a normal door. Some of the navigation in the dark can be a little difficult. Cool story twist at the end.

Yooo! Thank you! Glad you liked the game! It was nice voice chatting with you while as well!
An incredibly well put together experience! I love the aesthetics, and it's horrifying. Thank you for your great work!
Hey Blot Out Team!
Really fantastic job! This has most definitely been my favorite game so far -- so well done, spooky, aesthetically pleasing and succinct.
I have no notes, other than to say I loved this game so much that I want more of it!
What I liked:
- The audio was absolutely incredible. There were no harsh cutoffs, everything added to the atmosphere, and it truly helped add to the horror of the game. That freakin monster approaching sound gave me the heebeejeebies!
- The art is absolutely unreal. Everything meshed so well! The simple color palette really brought me back to old school gameboy games but elevated to a whole other level. Absolutely fantastic job bringing it all together. Again, when the monster approached, I love that the screen shook to help sell the threat that the audio telegraphed.
- The game story was succinct, to the point, and really nicely done. Love the ending as well!
Amazing submission! I hope you all continue to work on games because I will definitely be following along with y'alls journey.
Fell in love instantly with the style. The exploration was really fun and spooky. Great game!
love the limited color palette! good choice making the mc the opposite color, really helps them stand out when the lights are off
I loved the constrained color palette, retro art, and crt effect. The general mechanic of exploring the house while never knowing when you would need to hide was really effective. I was a little confused once I got to the garage, because I couldn't seem to interact with the car. Also I found two keys to the parents' room, I'm not sure if that was a bug or there's a secret bedroom I'm supposed to find. A really polished entry and impressive for such a short period of time. I had fun!
Thank you, squ00sh!
The color scheme was created by me, and i'm glad to know it really worked the way I wanted, and the retro art was directed by me too, good to know that all fit very well together!
We found it was mysterious and horrifying let the killer on the shadows and never really showing it hunting the player.
About the keys and the car, there is no problem on finding the 2 keys on the parents room, at the end you could only use one. But any way, we'll see how to fix it! And maybe your game had a bug when you got the garage, because it should give you the car keys once you came closer to the car.
Thanks for playing ! And we'll get to fix this bugs.
The CRT visuals definitely gave an additional layer to creepy sprite backgrounds, very good job on those.
The transition to the lights going out was also superb!
Good job!
Absolutely adore the visuals and sounds made me really creep out, just wish the controls were different, Really nice job on the game.
Very stylish and polished. I really like the audio design and not seeing the enemy added a different sense of fear. The VHS effect felt a little heavy-handed at times but still visually suited everything. Would definitely be cool to see this project expanded on, nice work!
Nicley done! Felt like I was in an old school slasher flick.
