Very fun premise and creepy atmosphere, loved playing it.
I had a bit of trouble finding the car, but by following the places where the forest was less dense I finally found it!
Good game !
wow!
Cool game and good build up to the final sequence. I wish he had jumped at you suddenly, really fast, and then moved more quickly. I would have been screaming louder than Paul then for sure! Fun story and game, well done!
Nice! Pls make Paul run faster! Him being a threat can be fun an scary!
I enjoyed the scream face, but I was not happy with the amount of bobing in the game, maybe you should have made a control on the mainscreen for it.
cool
I wonder if Paul is still chasing after the player
The experience was on point, short and sweet. I wonder whether we were the reason Paul had to go through this.
Fun idea and good atmosphere, overall a good game. But for me there is no scary part. Maybe you could add more sounds from the forest to build tension, and improve the escape from Paul because it was not very dynamic.
The game was awesome
It took me far to long to find the car.
Honestly wasn't very scary, but well put together and very polished. Good work!
I liked the fact that you as a player hope to recover your friend from gathering the parts of him that went missing. Good cinematics and well done executing the first person controller in Godot, also I liked the fog because it allows you to just see the dim lights as guidance like the car lights at the end.
For the end story, I like to think that Paul is still getting closer, even when the player arrived at home, take a shower and have dinner.
good job you could try mine (pleeeeeeeease)
The game's most striking feature is the body horror aspect, where players are tasked with collecting and piecing together Paul's dismembered remains. This mechanic is both grotesque and intriguing, adding a layer of visceral horror that truly tests your nerves. The sensation of gradually reconstructing your friend's body is unnerving, and it effectively blurs the line between fascination and repulsion.
One particularly noteworthy element is Paul's face, which adds an extra layer of terror. The attention to detail in rendering the face's expression and the accompanying uncanny realism makes it an unforgettable feature, enhancing the game's overall horror atmosphere.
However, the game's conclusion leaves something to be desired. After enduring the bone-chilling journey of collecting body parts and witnessing the horrors of the forest, the ending falls somewhat flat. It lacks the same impact as the earlier parts of the game, leaving players with a sense of incompleteness and a desire for a more impactful resolution.
In summary, "Paul's Lost Remains" is a short horror game that excels in its commitment to body horror and its haunting portrayal of piecing together a friend's remains. The imagery and atmosphere created are disturbingly effective, but the ending may leave players wishing for a more satisfying and impactful conclusion to this horrifying journey through the darkness.
Loved putting his body back together, and the audio was very good. Great Work!
Cool idea with the cross, but game was a little too easy and slow, great work though!
Great project! Even tho, IMO, it was too obvious what was about to happen. Dialogue UI is very nice, keep it up!
Great atmosphere love the psx vibe, really cool shaders on the camera as well! Only thing I would suggest is perhaps making the end slightly more difficult :)
