I love the mecanic of just slowing falling and getting to other places with it, fun game. Just rated your game it would be great if you could rate ours as well.

Love the retro style, just rated your game if you could rate ours that would be wonderful

Those long legs are going to hunt me on my nightmares, great entry. Just rated your game would you be so kind as to rate mine :)

Nice it was short and sweet, just rated your entry would you be so kind as to rate mine :)

Nice entry I was a bit confused in the beginning wether I needed or not to steer the boat into a particular direction, from what I can tell it was just time based experience, let me know if I miss something.

Just rated your entry could you return the favor and rate mine :)

I enjoy the story set up it gets hard to know where I need to go next on certain points, I wish the character will write on a diary or something saying "I should investigate X" because I was trying to follow the sound cues but after turning the tv off wasn´t sure where I needed to go next.

I love the voice acting and I felt the game had a unique art style, is just a shame the VHS effect was so strong I would have love to see more of the world without it.

Just rated your game hope you can rate mine too :)

Nice game, I would have imagine that repairing the lens of the lighthouse will provide with some safe zone from the ghost, something you might want to think of.

Just rated the game would love if you could rate mine too :)

Love the voice acting for this one and the crazy visuals, just rated the entry would you be so kind to return the favor :)

Best game I played this jam, really well focused packed with atmosphere, nice interaction easy to pick up. My only minor annoyance is the fact that the phase with the lamp one leads to a fail state too quickly, but that´s about it.

Just give you a rating, hope you can play mine and share some feedback.

Thank you for playing, can you go into more detail about the glitchy behaviour maybe I can provide answers or fix bugs haha

Heya decent entry, it was easy to pick up and understand what the game required of me as a player. On a design note the game was overall too bright, I think you might have mess with the bloom a tad too much, also the font was white over a white background, make sure you either give an outline to your text or you wrap them on borders so that is easy to read.

When the player dies you still allow input, if you get the player controller 0 you can call a function call remove input, just rated the game it would be awesome if you could do mine as well :)

Oh nice, there are not many unreal games in this jam so it´s always good to see another ones, just rated your game would be lovely to get mine rated as well.

Heya would have love some critter sound effects :)

Just rated your game it would be lovely if you could do the same

Really nice game love you played with the concept of phases for the tide, made to number 6 on the leader boards haha

Could you rate my game as well :)

Love the game it was easy to pick up and play,  I got to the last boss but unfurtunetly I died half way I felt it was my fault since the boss felt fair but perhaps I wouldn´t have reset from the beginning rather the last stage you were at, also the pumpking had many invulnerability phases.

but I had a blast playing, if you could rate my game in return that would be great :)

Heya love the game, I wasn´t sure though if you could change the direction in which you cut down the tree, is that a thing ?

would love if you could rate my game :)

Heya guys we are a band of a programmer and a game designer looking for artist of all types, we have done over 40+ game jams Some of our previous works can be found here https://el-fideo-rubio.itch.io/

Reach out to me on discord: elfideorubio

Oh are you using shift after jumping ? we have a dash whilst in the air so the combo is JUMP ( space ) + DASH ( Shift ) try that way

Heya thank you for playing

So in the 1st level there are 3 puzzles, one is just overlapping the different nodes in order, the second one is on the platform you have to jump in order, last one is on the sky with some floating notes, this one is the tricky one since you have to quickly rotate the camera and snap to the next note.

Hope that helps

Thank you so much for playing, yeah we are using unreal engine 5 we could have done some tweaks to run better but honestly we struggle to get the 2 levels in, but yeah we plan to have some updates with story bits and more. will keep you posted.

Glad you liked it, yeah unreal adds a lot of stuff on the package game I bet our game is only half the size of those 500mb

If you want to see what other games I have worked on you can check my IO page here: https://el-fideo-rubio.itch.io/

Hi there my name is Héctor, I'm spanish I've participated in over 30 game jams through the years, I'm an experience programmer / designer.  I'm 32, and the purpose of me joining this jam is to make a really awesome horror game.

I'm looking for people that are committed and already have experience in their respective fields, it's fine if you need to learn the basics of an engine, but for instance if you are a sound designer, I expect you to know how to make a list of effects , being proactive, and not one of those sound guys that deliver stuff last minute. My time is very valuable for me, and I do not mess around if somebody is wasting it.

So come with illusion, come wiht eagerness to learn, and help other devs and you'd have an amazing experience with me and the team we form.

Hi Gedeon are you still looking for a team, here's my portfolio of games: https://el-fideo-rubio.itch.io/

My discord: elfideorubio
( Please drop a message I don't add people unless they tell me why they are adding me )

Awesome could you described how you interacted with the gate ?

I test it several times on my end and I couldn't reproduce the issue.

You are using the fish form to get through the gate correct ?

Thank you so much for playing our game, I'm sorry you run into that bug

Do you mean the first gate which is part of the tutorial or another gate on other location on the level

Whao this game is amazing whoever coded those features is a big brained individual, high praise !!!

sorry I think I might have ignore the friend request could you send me a message so that I know it's you, I had a couple of invites

Heya guys I'm looking for a team to join the jam, I have done plenty of jams in the past ( over 30 ) know how to use a repository, I don't mind learning a new engine but I mostly work with UE5.

Let me know if this works for your team

We are 2 folks still looking for a team.
I'm a combat designer/ Gameplay programmer done over +40 game jams and some of them with a horror theme
My friend is a character artist/ animator / and composer. He takes full ownership on creating and making horrific creatures.

What are we looking for ?

Someone that can help my friend creating the environment( Environment Artist/ Prop Artist )
Someone that can make some cool VFXs for our creatures ( VFX artist / Technical Artist
We need some horrifying background and lore for our game so we will need a ( Narrative designer / Story Writter )
UI is often overlook but not for us, we very much like to have some nice menus, HUDS and more ( mind you this will be a 3D game, so we are looking for a lovely UI artist )
Lighting is one of those aspect often overlook as well, the reason why L4D still looks as good as modern games it's because of their great lighting ( A magician Technical artist )

Even if you don't fill any of the criteria previously mention, don't hesitate to reach out if you think you can offer any skill of value.

See you in space cowboys.

Heya chief I saw your post already on discord. We are 2 folks still looking for a team.

I'm a combat designer/ Gameplay programmer  done over +40 game jams and some of them with a horror theme
My friend is a character artist/ animator / and composer. He takes full ownership on createing and making horrific creatures.

If this works for you let us know.

Thank you so much for playing the game, also thank to all of your team members for playing. :)

Great point about blocking the track when you have finished.

In regards to killing the boss, we had a mechanic similar to Dead by daylight with the flashlight, in which you can blind him and he will take longer to appear. We got it working but it was so overpower, it make the killer more of a real clown, after the lock on the submissions we plan to tweak it and add it.

I'm not the best person to answer about the story but I will poke someone on the team and maybe they can shead some light.

Was the performance stable for all of you though ? We are planning to launch more Graphical controls after the submission lock is lifted.

Thanks again.

I liked the atmosphere of the game, giving direction it becomes such a grind so quick., which is a shame because I loved the asthetics, everything felt so cozy that I was protected in my own lighthouse.

you could have play with the idea of a stranger getting into your area and maybe having to avoid him, eventually leaving on a boat and facing the sea monster yourself.

I enjoyed the scream face, but I was not happy with the amount of bobing in the game, maybe you should have made a control on the mainscreen for it.

Love the game design, how you slowly introduce us to the mechanic, first navigating the room in darkness, the collecting crystals and opening door, finally giving us the radar.

My favorite game this jam so far, I was fully immerse while playing it.

I loved the visuals and the little conversations in the beginning. After finding the shipwreck the submarine kept breaking down every second, it destroyed my enjoyment for the game. After reparing it 12 times it ask me to reach the surface and so I did and the game ended.

Was there a monster or did I miss it ?

I would have enjoyed the game a bit more if I could land headshots and the mouse acceleration wasn't so fast.

I enjoyed the game a lot, it was short but varied, in terms of environments, multiple places to hide, a little maze.

The music was gold, I wish it was on spotify
