- I loved the commitment to the narrative and the development of a full story that was explored through the journal entries and the interaction with the other cats and spirits. The layout of the house and parallax shadow effect was also very effective in giving the place a haunted vibe!

I had a lot of fun dashing around the house while I was playtesting this game.
Fun game! I just wish Brenda could have gotten more closure than just being banished :( Cat were very cute and I like that the ghost reminded me of a pokemon
Maybe when the Jam is over, I'll update the story so that Brenda's soul would rest in peace rather than straight up getting banished by her own cats. Either way, her soul would have to move on to the afterlife.

I've always loved that effect in 2D games where you can't see around the corner, gives a lot of depth and a feeling of darkness without making the scene too dark in of itself. Great style, and great story!
Thanks for the comment! I like the lighting feature from GDevelop and how I can make it so that certain objects like walls can prevent the light from shining through.
the walls had a cool effect on them couldn't tell if its a lighting trick or some kind of 3d objects that the camera moves around. The ghost follow motion was great too.
GDevelop has a cool feature where you can have objects block lights emitting from another object. I put invisible collision boxes on the walls and furnitures so that the player won't be able to clip through them nor the light emitting from the player character will be able to shine through them.
Very delightful, I was having fun running in circles due to the amazing look cat animations.
I had a lot of fun running around the house when I was playtesting and making my game, too. :)
Damn, I really like this game. And I dont really know why. I think that its just the overall cozy feeling of the game, or that I followed the development of the game trough the discord, so I knew what I was getting into. I really dont know. The game looks nice (Especially the running animation for the cat, I ♥ it). It has a nice story, nice sounds. just a great game. oh yeah, and a cute cat (+1 bonus point)
And damn, breda's life sucks. she got depressed, got stabbed to death and then got banished by her own cats.

This was delightful! I like that it was basically a walking sim as a kitty cat, getting incremental bits of story as you wander around the house. Nice work!

Nice game you got here. I really like the blend of 2D sprites, and the 3D, shadowy walls. I also really liked the story, (although I didn't really beat the game). I did run into a glitch when booting up the game for the first time, where the sprites wouldn't load properly.
Other then that, nice game, 8.3/10.
Really great game! 🐈⬛ It was really interesting uncovering more of the mystery while exploring the house. The lighting was fantastic, it had a lot of atmosphere! Great animations too! Awesome job! 👍

I see cat game, I click cat game. Haha, I loved it, the cat animation seems very fluid and lively for a pixel style. it was a bit weird that the camera is top-down, but the cat is sideways :D Other than that, I enjoyed this game!
