Nice Game! With some polish as well as better integration between 3D and 2D, this game could end up as a pretty good 2d/3d platformer

I really didn’t quite understand what was going on, especially when I got to the first free first person section and there was a cube that turned green? and some red things that not only no longer hurt me like every other red thing in the game but also sometimes threw me up in the air, impossible to tell which was which. at one point i fell allll the way down and saw a big bird and died to a tiny bird, there was something existential fever dreamy about it that was cool. W and S being left and right in a 2d platformer is really uncomfortable to play lol, so I really struggled to figure out the start. Seems to be two really big long dead ends right at the start too which didn’t feel super fair? Music felt like Orinoco Flow - Epic Edition which was really funny to me.
I’m so curious what the intented path is, or if there is an intended path, or what a playthrough looks like. I think there’s a really neat idea here but I struggled to parse it at all!
What was this game seriously it was so confusing and epic, first the controls were upside down(which was fun i enjoyed that part) then suddenly the 3D part and what was that bird at the top. I thought that i had to fight it so went straight at it and there was one little bird attacking me i died, well in the end i enjoyed it.
This could definitely go somewhere, though the controller still leaves a lot to be desired. In the future, try to see if you can make your character controllers feel responsive and snappy to use. The 3d parkour section also is very unforgiving and quite unstable, especially around the teleporting block. The enemies also didnt particularly feel like they fit in with the rest of the game, sort of feeling like they were an after thought. Perhaps see about making sure your ideas all work together for a more cohesive gameplay loop next time. Otherwise, pretty good attempt!
I love the idea of switching a game from 2D to 3D! that has a lot protentional! Like the others have mentioned the controls are a bit weird, but im sure you can fix that! I would also spice things up with a cool character design! Amazing job with a first game jam! Especially from a solo dev <3
Interesting game. The concept of switching between 2D and 3D definitely has potential!
Really cool and unique gameplay! With some more detailed textures, it would definitely bring the game together
