Excellent idea, very well executed! Congrats!!
Really fun game, I like the Easter egg if you walk to the bottom of the screen
It was fun, I liked the ratings customers give you! Font is sometimes hard to read though. But overall the game is cool.
Hello
Really Liked the idea
Also made a review video
I love your game idea .
Really fun, atmospheric game with an Undertale-like feel. I liked how small and cute everything was, the concept is simple and it delivers what you'd expect. You could definitely make it endless with random customers and some sort of rating system for the shop that you need to keep up, and it goes down when a customer leaves a bad review. If you do something similar, definitely port it to mobile. I liked the personality-filled dialogue. Unfortunately the theme doesn't really fit, but it's a nice game. Great job!
Thank you very much for the feedback! I don't think I plan to continue it, that was just a small opportunity to try out Pico 8. In general I prefer when games are more handcrafted and have a nice clear ending, when the game is randomized it's hard to make it as engaging, I think players get bored after some time.
Awesome idea and execution (: I think the gameplay is great but I couldn't figure out some items due to graphics. But I had fun and tried again
Amazing, I loved playing it, and wish you good luck in the Jam. my only complaint is it was a bit easy, I now we were timebound but another level with like 10 monsters could really improve the difficulty
I know, if I had more time i would have included at least one more level with more monsters. Or maybe randomized the monsters for each level. I think 10 monsters will be too hard though lol
It would be hard, but still............. also I think if you continue with this project maybe try make a random level generator I don't think it would be too hard but I don't know what you use or how you've coded anything so I don't know how hard it would be. Anyway good luck with the jam and thanks for making an awesome game.
I like the Idea, the music is nice but a little too loud . Dialogs are nice..Good Job.
Solid game! I reviewed it in my video:
Great game! Turning memorizing character interactions into a gameplay system is super unique and something I think more games should do, and you did it fantastically! The dialogue was engaging and charming, and the characters were both well-designed and well-written. Nice work!
Really neat and I like the art. It's always interesting to see games made on fantasy consoles like Pico-8 and Tic-80 because of the limits they place.
this game is great! i would say, the window size is kind of unconventional, and theres a lot of extra room in dialogue boxes etc. that doesnt add much to the game. i think for this kind of art style, it would feel better if there was more efficient use of screen space, but maybe thatsa limitation of the engine? either way, i really like it- you nailed it. amazing. check mine out? (:
The window size is set by the engine (128x128 pixels). My idea was that if I made the dialogs smaller the room would feel empty, this way is feels more like a small shop. However I agree that my UI is not very good, I could make the dialog box disappear when you are not talking for example... Thank you for the comment :)
i really do love the vibe and atmosphere though, i just wasnt sure if it could be changed. this game is one of my personal favourites in the jam :)
I like the gameplay and such, The this that i liked most about this game is that you have to think what the product they want to buy
