This is fantastic! Great little card game in its own right and combining inscryption with strip poker is a natural fit. The twist at the end was very funny too. I was surprised just how many options you were able to get done in only a month too.

Excellent small card game, easy but the narrative kept you going.  Funny twist at the end!

I like that you put some effort into creating a proper tutorial. It's far too common for jam games to not explain anything and just expect people to find out everything on their own.

I also like that there is narrative framing gives some context to each battle, and there is a lot of artwork in the game.

Just the gameplay itself could need some more depth.

This is really great. Like others have said the balance could do with tweaking to make it a bit more challenging (I got through the whole thing without losing once, which for someone as bad at cards as me seems like it shouldn't happen) but the  gameplay is solid. And you've captured the mood so nicely with the combination of art and sound and writing. Nicely done.

I really enjoyed inscryption so a game like this is always a treat. Great job with the visuals and the general feel, was a bit too easy but that’s not a big deal.

What a fantastic entry! It feels complete and well thought out, with great unique visuals and an unexpected twist.

I liked it a lot, the card system was fun even if all the cards had the same traits and enhancements, I did find it got easier as it went on since about half my cards had the chance to grow a lot in power. My only other observations are that there could be some benefot to being able to advance the dialogue with a click instead of waiting for it to go at regular speed every time, sometimes the healing wouldn't work and it wasn't explained why (I assume 9 is the highest health you can have?), and that there were empty textboxes to click through which had me waiting until I realized I had to click again, hehe.

Other than those minor things, it was awesome! The art on the cards was great, the atmosphere was on point, the dialogue noises were fun, and I loved how the number of encounters was signaled with the lights on the back, very nice diegetic UI touch there. I'm quite amazed that this was made in a single month, awesome work!

ok but at the big reveal?

Wow, incredible atmosphere and unusual art style.  I love it!  The game seemed on the easy side, but I don't know if it's really possible to balance a game like this with so little time.  It's more about the experience and the story than the challenge anyway.  And speaking of which, I sure did not expect the ending, dang!  Good stuff.

Random details I loved: the vaguely oceanic background ambience, and the fact that stacks of tokens react to the card under them moving, and can even fall over a bit.

I'm a sucker for moody, luminous black and white, so you had me from the jump with this, but the execution was excellent too! I really loved the idea of the storyteller as a framing device for the story of a card battler, and the strip element was a fun addition, and the twist was a perfect finish. I did blow through the game pretty easily, but it was so enjoyable I didn't mind not having much challenge. If I were going to try to make it harder I might make the player choose between an attack or healing boost for each card after a win instead of getting both, or maybe make that a hard mode or something. It was neat too that not only were the encounters randomized, there were more than just one playthrough's worth, so I got to see new ones on a replay. Really nice touch, especially for a jam game. Also Lumberjill and I are meant to be and no one will tell me otherwise.

I also really enjoyed that you can attack party members and heal enemies, even though there's no benefit to doing it (or at least I couldn't find one while experimenting). I feel like there could be fun secret things to find with that, but it would complicate the systems pretty quickly. Great work all around!

It needs some balancing, since cards can get too strong and make every battle easy, but it’s still a wonderfully implemented idea.

I love the art style and ambiance! There's a real variety of sexy card art too. I wish that the cards were the ones getting undressed as they leveled up. You bond with your favorite cards more than with the narrator as you get further into the game, but I did appreciate her animated breasts and transformation scene.

No music works for highly stylized games like this one, but I felt that the speech sound effect didn't fully fit and it was a bit unclean with pops and a subtle tone that remains after the main sound plays. The image import for the narrator's mouth has border issues where black bleeds in a bit around the transparent edges. The table has a bit too much texture, it may match the other art better if it's smoothed over a bit.

The gameplay felt good and visual representations of actions with tokens and lines add a lot to the vibe. Balance could be improved upon by removing healing that goes over a character's max after an encounter.

The dark atmosphere of this game is wonderfully crafted and the camera gives a sense of space to the card battles!

Seriously love the black-and-white aesthetic, the unsettling sound design, and the whole atmosphere really. The card art and hand-drawn animation are especially nice. And having the narrative weave back and forth between the card encounters and this mysterious tarot reader was really quite compelling.

This was amazingly cool to play through. The mechanics were fairly solid and I liked the allocating attacks and healing based off the cards I picked. The way it levelled up cards did give me quite a few strong options by the time the later levels came around. Enough so that it felt potentially one of my cards could have taken on the rest of game without trouble. It was still very fun overall though. ~

Amazing art style and sound design.  The balancing needs a bit of rework, currently the game is pretty easy to beat. The big issue is with healing and leveling up, reusing a pair of 2 characters a lot leads to them being strong enough to steamroll the final boss. Best solution in my opinion would be a healing nerf or stronger  enemies.
