SHRINEPUNK BARTENDER ACTION
obviously an insane amount of high quality art here for three days, my condolences that it did not get far past that
all the detail in the talksounds and the ui is great, aya is my favorite and i hope all future aya voice acting globally will be composed of crow sounds
Thanks for appreciating the art, but the programming also took almost the whole run of the jam, since everything you see was made from scratch in Unity (including editor tools to easily make dialogue trees). I'm kinda feeling underappreciated in this comment section :((
Beautiful game! Would definitely play a full version of this too
Thanks! A full version is definitely coming
I like how Aya speaks in crow
It's so polished I'm not surprised you ran out of time. Great art and voices.
Please finish this game, what is here is so charming already! The art and atmosphere are really cozy I wish I could spend more time playing this.
I audibly laughed when Aya went CAAAW caw CAWW.( Also sorry Youmu, I had no idea you could get fed up)
This is a simply lovely concept for a game, and I really did want to play more of it; I was sad to have ran out of time. The art is beautiful and fits the mood, the music is simple but pleasant to the ear, and the gameplay was very relaxing. This reminds me in many ways of the game Coffee Talk, which I adore; if there's ever an update in the future, I really hope this game moves in that direction of being a slice-of-life simulator. I'd like to hear about what the girls are up to and give them a drink for their troubles and the like.
Yoo the inside of a bar stand? At a festival at Hakurei Shrine? So cool!
Okami-styled dialog "voicing"?? Whoaaa.
The art, characters and backgrounds alike, so good-looking.
It's unfinished yes but what's here is super high quality! Will it be complete some day I wonder?
(I forgot to say, anyone thinks volume's kinda low? Even with max settings I could barely hear the chirps and BGM)
Thanks! Strelok has outdone himself once again for this one, hopefully our next game will be even better looking.
And yeah, because we aimed for the highest quality possible we took until the last day to set everything up and finish the programming/art, since everything's done from scratch. I am planning on finishing writing the game, cause I think we had a cool concept going for the planned story. Didn't even have time to use all 6 characters we had made, lol
i was pretty caught off guard by how reimus voice samples were clearly taken from japanese sentences, so i was wondering how weird it would have to be for actual japanese speakers to listen to that. then aya came along and just straight up made crow noises.
Both Reimu, Marisa, and Nazrin use actual voices cut up into parts. Some are betteer than others, though, because of time constraints, since I did everything apart from the art on my own. Reimu and Marisa use samples taken from the Musou Kakyou anime.
Making the noises intelligible enough to not be too annoying and also not coherent enough to form random words was a huge challenge though, so I'll probably update it at some point.
The game looks fantastic, it's a nice concept and i was enjoying it, it's a shame you guys ran out of time. Also the music is a little low i believe.
What a nice little concept for a game, I really like the atmosphere.
The voice acting of some characters could be a little bit annoying(like the crow sound), but overall it's fine.
I don't know if I am missing something, but Reimu says that "We ran out of time", is it literally the game ends there or I should close the shop?
Yep, literally ran out of time. We (Strelok and I) premade a lot of content for the game and built systems to make writing scenes easier, but sadly didn't have enough time to actually put it together lol.
It's such a shame you guys ran out of time! I'd have loved to see a lovely and relaxing game like this be fully explored. I'm glad you all put out something nice nonetheless!
Gonna update it with more content soon, I really wanna finish writing this story. Making a VN completely from scratch may have been overkill, but we managed to put some really cool features in this that sadly couldn't be utilized in this release.
