This game is fantastic! Amazing job! You artstyle and level design ability is incredible. This game was fun and highly addictive. I loved the explotion when accidentally hitting the walls and the oops screen really added to the fun! It's also super impressive you managed to make all this in only 3 hours. Are you planning on adding more levels to this game in the future? As I'd love to play more levels of this game (as well as the game you made last week) :)

Developer

Aw thanks! I have the advantage of using a really simple and fast game creation tool! And since I know it really well I can execute quickly :D and yes I'd love to update it with more levels and polish :)

This is really great! The art is super cohesive and the sfx fit the music really well. The controls are nice and floaty, just as a claw machine should be! Great work, especially in 3 hours!

Definitely one of the best games of the jam. Solid gameplay overall, as someone else mentioned the wall tiles are a bit hard to look at but the claw looks great. Would love to be able to restart more quickly after messing up, it's a bit frustrating to wait through the Oops text. Great job overall!

glad you liked it! I can't wait to improve it and make it more enjoyable! :D

Quite impressive and fun game. Some things you can improve: The wall texture is a bit noisy and isn't comfortable to look at. The sound each time I press the arrow keys is also a bit to annoying. Other than that, game is quite polished. Movements are excellent and very precise. A bit hard to control at first, but after a few level I got used to it and breeze through the rest of the levels and finish the game!

Ah one more thing, when the thing explode and restart the level, the claw is still in the grabbing position. It should be released when I restart the level.

Developer

Glad you liked it! Excellent feed back! I'll definitely improve these things in an update :)

Phenominal!
Truly love this game.
The arcade grabbing machine is a favourite of mine, and you've mixed that with explosives.
What's not to like!!
I especially like the little cutaway of the guy controlling. Such a cool little addition.
Crazy for 3 hrs, ngl.

glad you liked it so much! It is crazy for 3 hours! But I have a big advantage of using visual scripting for my jam games :D makes things super fast

Are you making these games all by your self? graphics sounds and all??
You are a god, my friend.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Depends on the game but usually I do the graphics and sound, and i have friends that do music for me. :D

The feeling of momentum is great, this subtle lack of control puts you on the edge. Color palette is a bit non-conventional, but combined with retro sound and graphics, it feels somehow right at home. Visuals and audio work well together, and the gameplay is simple but gripping. Good little project, that I enjoyed!
