Thank you for playing! I'm glad that you liked the butterfly mechanic. Originally, they only spawned smaller butterflies, but I thought it would make it a bit more challenging if they could change colour π
This is a really amazing entry! The music fit really well, the art was fantastic and exhaustive, and the poems perfectly fit. Some minor design complaints, like putting black text on a busy background, but honestly, this is just fantastic regardless. I can tell you did a ton of planning before making this game, great work!

I almost didn't add the poems (due to time time constraints), but I'm very glad that I did and am happy to hear that they worked well! I was a bit worried that the poems were a little difficult to read when I uploaded the game, but unfortunately didn't have enough time to change the opcaity of the background. If I update this game, that will definitely be one of the first things I fix π

Did you manage to get all the butterflies? I've tried multiple times while playtesting, but still haven't managed to do that yet π
Very cute art style! And a creative way of doing necessary exposition with a little rhyme. The music was a highlight, I thought it was made specifically for the game (and looking in the comment section here, it indeed was). Simple but fun gameplay. I unfortunately had a bug, where the congratulations screen had the other character that I didn't play as, but it isn't really a problem. After all, accidents happen.

Oh! Thank you for letting me know about that bug! I haven't come across it before. I've looked through the code and can't seem to see what caused it, but I'm sure I'll find it eventually π
