Use of theme?
I kinda used chain reaction (whenever you hid a blue platform all platforms move faster).
I used the negative feedback loop by making the game harder in several different ways as you get higher speed.
And for the classic game thing - I guess it could be considered a pong inspired game.
Use of diversifiers?
Not sure tbh. Don't think so.
Did you have fun?
Yes

Great use of colours. The controls felt a little off and the camera angle/zoom could be better. Neat game, tho
thanks!
Pretty neat, simple game here. I liked the graphics a lot (nice, simplistic and cool post processing). I would make the controls a bit snappier but it's pretty good for the time spent I think :)
Thank you!
Really nice job on getting something so visually appealing done under such time constraints! Your game leverages its simplicity very well in a lot of ways I think.
Thanks!
Dynamic and entertaining. Nice!
The controls could be a bit more solid but i guess that's what high speed does to you. good game
Thanks!
This is a really solid take on pong! plus the physics feel really good! good job yo this is great!
Thanks!
Looks great, plays well, all in all a super solid game :D The camera does not seem consistent, which might be kinda problematic for a kinda precision based game like this, but when it looks as new and shiny as this it is hard to complain :D
Thanks!
The camera angle is random each playthrough ;]
Also the camera distance grows as you speed up.
So yeah I guess it's not consistent at all ;d
Lol yeah, it does add to the dynamic feel of the game so it is far from being all bad, and I'll bet it would help a lot with making some pretty sweet videos :D
Wow great game!
I felt that every thing was really nice and polished. Something that would make the game easiser to control is to cast a shadow directly under the player on the ground so that you can tell where you are. Because of the camera angle and the floatiness of the controls, it can be really hard to judge perspective sometimes. Also maybe add a bit more to the visuals (not more bloom tho lol) and a bit less to the audio.
Still very well done friend.
Thanks! Yeah, I think a shadow like that would help.
The sounds at the beginning were a bit too.... crunchy. Also too loud.
The colors are well chosen and clearly convey what they need to but literally everything is glowing which ends up looking blurry. The camera is also at this weird dutch-angle which doesn't really feel like it adds anything beyond making the game more disorienting.
The concept is good, with a little refinement the gameplay could be great. The audio/visuals need some work.
Thanks! The camera angle is actually randomized, I agree it doesn't help with knowing what's going on in some cases, but looked cool imo, so I left it this way ;]
I like bloom, what can I say ;d
Hi!
It's a pretty nice game. The colors are pretty nice as well.
The title bgm is pretty glitchy and loud tho. I could hear static in my earphones.
Also, if you go left instead of right, you can fall out the map and keep going right for free points
I got 353 legitimately tho lol
Haha wow, I added a block at the beginning of the game, so you can't go left, but I totally forgot the level destroyed itself as you go right!:D
Congrats! I think the highest I got was around 280.
I fell out with the block XD
I kept pressing left and I climbed it easily
Neat concept. I think the camera could use a little work as it gets tough to judge things the further it zooms out, but otherwise, I really enjoyed playing it.
Thanks! Yeah, I think a shadow below the ball could probably help that.
Good idea. That would definitely work for me.
I like the colors.
The controls didn't feel good to me, I don't know if it's the controls themselves, the angle of the camera, the frame rate or a combination of these things.
Thanks! The camera angle is actually randomized, I agree that it's harder to judge the distance on some angles, but they looked cool, so I left it there ;d
Excellent implementation of a negative feedback loop with the speed mechanic. The graphics are pretty nice as well.
Thanks!
This has some really good game feel. The sounds are nice and distinct so you know what you're hitting, there's some nice post processing effects making everything look and feel good. The only thing I had trouble with was controlling the ball. I felt like I never knew where it was going to go. Sometimes I would press D and it would do a small bounce to the next platform and sometimes I would just tap D and it would shoot forward. I felt like I couldn't predict what was happening next. Also the fact that you can go so fast means that things can sort of appear suddenly from off screen giving you not much time to react.
The camera distance gets bigger as you gain speed (and also it was supposed to be harder and harder the more speed you have:)).
That's weird about the controls, I haven't noticed that. I did notice that if the angle of the camera was pretty high it was a bit hard to notice where the ball will fall, maybe a shadow below it would help that.
Thanks for the feedback!
Looks wonderful, I love the bloom and particle effects! The music is pretty good too - though on WebGL when you hit an orange block there's a weird glitch sound - I don't think that's intentional? 😅
Thanks! You're right, I haven't noticed that ;]
I had a similar thing in my ludum dare game a couple of years ago 😭 I had to fix it by adding a little bit of silence to the end of the audio clip. Took hours of searching to figure out what was going on - in the end someone on discord suggested it just on the off chance!
Cool concept, though it feels less like Pong and more like a side-scrolling Breakout. Cool aesthetic - the glow on everything with the crunchy music makes it feel like it's straight out of TRON.
Thanks! Bloom ftw :d
