This was so lovely!!

Both the visuals and storytelling created an aura that I haven't seen much in other visual novels- A dreamlike landscape, picturing a lived life and the questions about genuineness and reality and authenticity

I loved this so much :3

Both SkyShard stories I've read dance so beautifully on the knife's edge of reality. It captivates me every time. You'll Never Catch Me Leaving is poetry. If you've read it, that is obvious. As the protagonist runs, it carries you along with it. As a writer I am so often drawn to second person as a means to grant agency to a player when they make choices. You'll Never Catch Me uses second person to speak directly to you at the same time it is speaking to the subject, and I cannot adequately describe how truly spoken to it makes me feel. Folks, I think, have already lauded how punchy the tagline and the lines around it are, but goddamn I have never described a jam VN as "quotable" until I read YNCML. Sorry, I gush.

Love the narrative! As I read on, I could feel the central theme, the conflict, taking shape. Your prose is very fluid and had me hooked! I think the the visuals and sound contribute much to the tone as well!

I'm always a sucker for your writing and art, we all know this (and by we I mean me, I know this--but soon everyone shall know too)... Every page had multiple quotes that had me in a chokehold, like I want to get into bookbinding purely to make this masterpiece physical and store it in the nearest library. Always running, always changing, yet never finding that sense of contentment or safety, and when you do try you just get sent back into the thought of losing it all over again... Tragic and beautiful, just the way I like it. *,__,*

there’s a lot of really good lines in this game, but my favorite is (just like how bez says below) “good liars never stop”. i’m sure not many people can personally relate to a life spent changing your identity and yet never finding fulfillment and genuine love from others – but under your prose, it becomes a natural flow of life and almost feels like second nature. you can’t stop if you’re too good at becoming someone new, and how addictive it must feel escaping from the burdens of your old identity. the title is deliciously ironic to me; angela’s life is all about picking up and leaving and being caught in various ways each time, and yet it makes sense that you’ll never catch her leaving behind this game/practice/habit/lifestyle if she’s so adept at it.

regardless, i think you have a really beautiful writing style. i’ve always had a soft spot for that vague kind of narration that is, in a way, directed towards the reader and you’ll never catch me leaving pulls it off so well. i’m excited to read and play more works from you in the future!!

A very sad, interesting game.  I am still processing it.  "Good liars never stop."--that's a powerful line.  The art & music were very beautiful.

the aesthetic with the music creates such a distinct vibe that i really enjoyed! eerily haunting but somehow comfortingly familiar
