Really clever idea placing spikes about as it made me carefully plan (or try to) my shots! I summoned all my MMORPG kiting abilities to play this submission! Though there is no change in the game from the minute you start, I found myself playing for closer to an hour trying to beat my high score.
Would be cool to see it fleshed out with different levels with different spike trap layouts. Absolutely great game.
Oh and in case you weren't aware I found a bit of a bug. I have no clue how it happened but I caused an enemy overflow. They spawned 100s at a time from the top right corner. It caused a feedback loop of heart and bomb arrow drops so I could technically never die and got a score of 42,000 before closing the game. Frankly it was really satisfying to mow that many enemies down.

How does your game utilize the limitation and theme?
Having to collect your arrows after they've been shot fits both the "collectibles" focus and the theme of "there and back". Enemies will occasionally drop bomb arrows and health pickups to collect too.

A much more arcadey game than most in the jam. The art is nice, the movement and gameplay feels good. Honestly the only issue I have is that losing arrows over spikes pretty much requires you to take a hit.
Beautiful pixel art, very well done! Love the mechanic. I think a fun feature to add would be hitting a button to have all the arrows fly back to you kind of like Kratos's axe from the new God of War. The biggest problem I had was shooting arrows in spots where I had to take damage to collect them, but maybe that's part of the gameplay you wanted? It just can be a little frustrating knowing you have to take damage to progress or go without arrows, especially since there isn't a way to get health back. Great game though!
Super Nice arcade game! Reminds me of "Towerfall Ascension" The gameplay - difficulty felt perfect. It would have been great if every 'x' monsters eliminated you enter new map. I noticed that when you used for the first time the bomb arrow you lose one normal arrow. Overall, amazing job it was super fun!
This was an addicting game! My highscore was 1000, not too shabby. I felt a lil betrayed when the bomb arrows use up my arrow, but i guess it makes sense. I feel like either a little bigger of a map or a little smaller character/enemies would go a long way. Also would be really cool of there was an upgrade for damage or arrow slots!

The game plays well and is very enjoyable but I was missing the theme.
Well, nice game, very nice art and controls. I missed some kind of combo system. If you finish multiple enemies within a short time frame or with the same arrow.
But alle in all great game!

Very pick-up-and-play friendly, which I really appreciate in this kind of game. Simple, clean, but also very clever - I like how you placed the spikes at intervals to stop the player just circling the entire arena without threat.
Also, via a strategy of getting a bomb arrow then waiting until I had a massive crowd to fire said arrow (then getting ANOTHER bomb arrow), I got a high score of 1240, which I'm pretty proud of.
very good, I got a highscore of 420 not sure if it's high, it was pretty tough, especcially with more enemies and losing sight of my mouse and shooting my arrows in those spokes, when they get in there you are pretty much done for, those are my only remarks but it can be a game designed this way to make it harder.
Overall a very polished and nice looking game, preyy fun and nice powerups and good use of the theme!

Very solid game! The art style is amazing! I enjoyed how you implemented the theme, running "there and back" to shoot and pick up arrows; very creative indeed. It was one of the best games i have played in the jam! Well done!

Good game with amazing pixel art. I just hope the Red Skulls will only fire if they are inside the play area so it will be kinda fair. But overall, I love the gameplay, it can be made into a bigger game.
