Nice game, I managed to beat it after a few playthoughs. My strategy was: first try to replenish the coffee bar to the max, then start searching documents.

Good job.

Nice little game, liking the sound effects and the general look of the game (though my eyes do get a little overloaded). Enjoying the concept as well. Simple but very clear and straight on sprites as well.

I did get stuck in a loop of filling in the paper. It kept spawning right on top of me, so I never got out of it to find new coffee again. Don't think this was intentional.

Developer

I’m glad you liked it. I will fix the issue that it kept spawning on top of you. Thanks!

This game is a resume of my life back when I worked in a boring office.
I feel you bro...

I've never had an office job, but I believe this to be a highly accurate simulation of the floor coffee and spacebar mashing involved.

The level design was a little confusing, with things that looked like they should be exits, but weren't, and exits in one room with no return route in the other.

The tuning was very good. I had times when I was rushing around, desperately trying to find coffee, and others where I was trying to find a document to fill in.

I loved that the employee is just a square with a tie.

Developer

I’ve never had an office job either, but I thing I emulated it spot on.

I’ll work on fixing the issues you found and I’m glad you liked the tie. Thanks!

Interesting concept. If you had more varied mini-games for the written papers I could see this being a bigger title.

Great Game though it was a bit confusing at the start!

this is a nice wee game

Tried to get all the coffee!  couldnt keep up with demands though and I was soon fired.  Only technical thing i ran into was that if the document wasnt completed before your coffee meeter ran out then it stayed on screen through the ending.  Good job and good gamejam!

check out my game if you get a chance https://itch.io/jam/vimjam2/rate/1200495

Developer

Thanks for playing and for reporting the issue. I’ll be sure to fix it and play your game when I can. Hope you enjoyed!

Seems like an accurate representation of work! I enjoyed it. Only issue I had was that the wall collisions would sometimes put you inside the wall or slightly overlapping it .

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed! I’ll make sure to fix the issue.

I thought this was a cute, simple game jam game.  Gameplay was smooth and I experienced no bugs or technical glitches. It might have been better if you explained the controls somewhere, but WASD + arrow keys are pretty obvious so it wasn't a big deal.

I like the old TV-looking aesthetic. That gave the game a lot of character!

Developer

Explaining controls isn’t something I really thought about, thanks for telling me, I’ll make sure to change that. Thanks and I’m glad you enjoyed it!

The gameplay was fun, but I think could be improved by changing the repeated tapping of space to a hold for a certain amount of time and the coffee bar gradually decreasing continuously instead of in chunks every couple seconds.

Good job!

Developer

I agree with both ideas and if I had the time, I would have added.  Thanks for the feedback

Nice game overall, it was a little annoying getting stuck sometimes on the walls between the tiles. also spamming the space button could be an issue as some of us have issues with are arms/hands from repetition. but overall good game.  Thank you for the submission!

Developer

I wasn't sure if the repetition would become a problem, hopefully I can come up with more ideas to make my game more diverse next time.  Anyway thanks for the feedback!

With this gamplay , maybe a timing press would be better? so like an indicator going back and forth and you'll need to press it at the right time.

This game was very short and sweet! The sounds and the sprites were nice, and the gameplay was nice and tense. I kinda wish that there were more tasks than tapping the spacebar to write a document, but the one task works well for this game. Great job with this one!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I wasn’t particularly happy with the sprites or the sound so hearing this is really nice! I was thinking of adding more tasks but ran out of time because of school. I hope to improve with time. Thanks!

I like the idea, I think it could have been expanded on more

Developer

I agree that I probably could have added a bit more, but thanks for talking the time to play and comment!

I played and beat the game. I like the interpretation of theme and restriction. It lacks some polish though. Music would have been nice, the art could have been more high quality and it felt quite luck based if you had enough cofee or not. It's still a cool idea though!

Developer(+1)

Thank you  for taking the time to play and for the feedback. I will keep these improvements in mind in any future prejects. Thanks!
