Nice concept! Agree that a tutorial would be helpful. Still it was like a cubicle business version of overcook. Getting new orders and keeping the pace. I would recommend to explore more options with the things you need to do with the computer.

I am already working on more player feedback and more types of tasks will follow.

Quite hard to understand. I feel like more of a tutorial would have helped, but maybe it isn't a proper satire of an evil corporation if you get trained adequately?

Developer

I agree that a tutorial is in order. I have made an attempt to mitigate this with a "how to play" section in the description.

Forth to have 30/30 by me :)

I don't get what you mean.

Your game got 100% stars by me

Developer

Aaah, got it. Thank you.

A little difficult to understand but a great concept - I think injecting some more humour and feedback into the tasks would be great and make it more user-friendly and entertaining :D

Developer

Updates are in the works. Will update after voting ends. Tutorial, sounds, more task, better win screen (yes thers is one).

good idea and i like the art but there isnt too much to do in the game from what i saw

Cool game! I always love it when people tackle typing simulator type things within games and have little minigames. I didn't really understand what that toe nail icon next to the coffee did. I didn't get all that far either...it seemed like even when I typed in the correct thing I would still get a strike at the top. Great game though!

Needs some relaxing music! I also actually felt like I was working and not playing a game, and I don't know if that's intended or not haha. Overall good job!!

Repost from the "comments page", itch confuses me x.x

I think the concept is super interesting! I'm a fan of "classics" like Typing of the Dead, and in an office setting that is just equally brutal, just being bombarded with mundane tasks on a timer!

Chill music, fun art depiction of the "corporate machine"!

I kept failing though for reasons I didn't quite understand. Even though I did well, I would still lose. And one time the right clicky menu stopped responding. I couldn't fullscreen so the text was very small.    But great work overall!

Thank you for your kind words. The reason the start is hard because it is kind of random if you get promoted off the intern platform. Only if a junior drops below 100 performance rating you will be considered for the promotion. With a 60 second delay on the platform drop you have 3 performance reviews on average to make it. For some reason I was lucky during developmen and did not catch it... (Didn't do any playtesting because of time too...)

Not sure about what I had to do here. I clicked on incoming tasks, and I had to type 2 city codes apparently but I was able to validate the field 3 times per task so I failed again and again. RIP.

I like the aesthetic of the game, the fact that you're basically opening a computer and doing things on it seems to be great.

I would have liked to be able to know where I was in the openspace tho, I saw workers but cannot tell which one was me.

Developer

The balance is pretty luck based at the begining (I blame me for running out of time). Same with identifying the player. Glad you like my programmer art though.

Thats the first game i ever saw in this style and for the first entry this is super nice. It was a bit hard to find out how to play and the tasks are a little bit small. The game could be improved with more feedback (juicy sounds, screenshake, etc) and maybe with a kind of small rewards for the tasks? But overall i realy liked it and it`s allways a good sign to NOT know the kind of game. :)

Developer

I've had the sounds in the project but was out of time to implement them. I've added them afterwards (post submission deadline version) and it plays much better ; )

I didn't get what I was supposed to do :(

Developer

If you'd like to revisit the game, the description below the game should explain what is expected of the player. Apologies for the lack of tutorial, timing got me.

sit on the desk push some keys make some numbers, if you fail to comply you are out, oh and dont forget ,you have a famaly and kids to manage, the pressure hehe.

one thing to notice, the letters are to small, if you redo this game improve them on it, make them a big bigger

nice game man

In the beginning I found it a bit hard to figure out what to do, but once I'd figured out how things worked it was simple. Good game for a first time entry, not bad! I really felt the feeling of being pushed "to the edge" when working for this company. Sadly enough this isn't a really fun feeling lol. I also felt it was kinda repetitive (which was probably intended)

Anyway, cheers on your entry !
