The visuals are definitely your strong point here, definitely 10/10. I would love to see a more developed game in that style. Cheers

Run 'n' guns arent' usually my cup of pea but this is beautiful!

The player character is one of the best looking I've seen so far!  The rest of the game looks good as well, but the floor tiles could be improved...

The gameplay is, as already mentioned, not really my homebase but it is understandable and playing this is a lot of fun.

Hey another run n gun 😎👉👉
Was nice, I liked the visual and the ambience, that creepy boss was pretty cool and that parallax background was nice looking. I had bit of hard time to understand the impact of the upgrade tho and I kept forgetting that it would replace my current one, would've been nice to drop the old one on the floor so you can pick it back up.

Cool visuals, cool ambience, was nice.

thanks for the feedback. we will try to implement that if we ever continue the game in the future

Awsome art style, love the atmosphere. The start section could have been a bit shorter, it takes a while before the game play gets interesting, player felt a little jankey with its movments for a platformer. Otherwise really good job!

GG!!!!!!!

Really liked your game ;) The atmosphere and art was fantastic (although some animations were not like what one would expect, such as the jump) and the color palette was really pleasant to the eye ;)

Only nitpick is that I find the game a tad bit hard, but that's just my opinion

Amazing graphic style and aesthetics, I loved the monster concept. I fumbled a bit with the gameplay, but I still had fun. Good job! :)

Finally got to  play your game!  I thought it was great!  The music and art styles really made it for me.  I personally had a hard time with the shooting mechanic but im also not as familiar with that style of gameplay so no biggie.  you all did an awesome job, well done!

I really liked the colour palette and the boss design. But the game is brutal, I could get farther on each try, but the game is too slow for my taste and my hand got tired of firing so much.

Fun stuff, too hard for me.

Great art and style! I feel like I should have been able to fire my gun while running but I don't think I can? I love the different obstacles and the monster looks awesome. Good job all around! Would love to see more.

Developer(+1)

no we made him not shoot and run on purpose rp try and make it a bit harder

Amazing game! Absolutely loved almost everything about it!

I think my only issue was the lack of either healing or checkpoints. Sometimes I'd be on one hit left in the portal room and health wouldn't spawn for two sections which made it very difficult!

Still, even though I haven't beaten it yet, I absolutely enjoyed and will be coming back to try and complete it later!

Wow! Stunning visuals in this game! Really loved the atmosphere it was able to set right from the very start. Controls took a little time to get used to but once I did, it was a very enjoyable experience. Truly a great job by the team on this one.

Great art and vibe!

Danger sources are little hard to see, but overall really fun (in a creepy way, of course:) ) game.

Power ups are nice too

Nice game. The art is beautiful, I love the color palette. The Upgrades are nice , but I think the second stage suddenly gets too difficult and sometimes I got killed and didn't even know what hit me. Other than that I really enjoyed it, well done!

Great use of both themes! Difficult game with a somber atmosphere matching the slowly chasing nightmare. I love the art choices and execution of both graphics, visual direction and the music.

Gameplay wise, its very fun, and definitely had me going through many times trying to do better, but I think the finicky nature of the second stage monsters I find too difficult.

There were small funny things I assume were bugs, like projectiles changing directions if your character turns, and that you can shoot while jumping but not while holding A or D. This is most likely at least partially intentional, but wasn't clear until I explored when I could shoot and when I could not. Very good job to everyone involved!

This was really good! The art is AMAZING, the sounds are nice, the music is a little too quiet. But it's quite hard tbh, and it feels like the shooting should be automatic since the aiming is using keys, and there is no ammo system, so holding down left click  the whole time isn't very nice. I see the boss in the game, it is great, but I don't see how "On the edge" was implemented. However, I like the fact that the obstacles change, it keeps the battle fresh and new everytime. I also like the little portal you go into to give yourself a break. 1 more little thing is the player acceleration feels a bit too slow, making the controls feel a bit unsnappy. But other than that, really great entry. The artstyle is really nice and overall a fun game.

for the "on the edge" we were going for a paranoid feeling with the player. thanks for the feedback really appreciate it

Good atmosphere and really enjoyed the color palette. Good use of theme and requirement with a boss on the edge of the screen.

One thing I ran into was the screen scaling when I went fullscreen was still a bit wonky since I'm on an ultra wide monitor I was able to see behind the boss, and I was able to see further ahead of me than others.

The upgrade mechanics between levels was a nice surprise. When I first got there I thought I could only pick one, but next time realized I could take both upgrades lol.

Regardless, good job! Fun game!

The art is very nice and moody. I found the game a little too easy during the first stage, and then it suddenly got too difficult for me. But overall it was very enjoyable. I liked that you included upgrades.

The pallet is extremely beautiful, so it the art, absolutely stunning! The jumping animation must be one of the best jumping animations I've ever seen. Music is also great and sound design is spectacular. I liked how you couldn't move and shoot at the same time. At first it wasn't obvious that I should shoot the boss, and I thought I'd have another encounter later but once I figured out, I enjoyed it very much!
