How does your game apply the limitation (and optionally, the theme)?
Boss, was a litteral interperitation of a Boss like figure giving orders. The theme "On The Edge" reffers to the stress system in the game, feeling of being on edge and stressing out close to breaking down.

Finished it! Got a little scared in that last level that I was gonna lose but I made it. I really enjoyed this! Loved the sound design and music, it really set the scene and tone very well. Loved the resource management of the 3 stress-reducing pickups - overall it felt like you turned the idea of fetch quests into a fast-paced tense action mechanic which I thought was really great! The stress of navigating big levels looking for the bubbles over people's heads landed really well, as did talking to some of them and realizing your stress meter was still going up.
Great job! Oh also drinking in the parking lot was fun haha. I don't think I needed to because I did it once in the office and it was fine, but it would be cute if you could only drink in the parking lot.
Wow, what a great write up thank you so much! I'm glad it was fun and stressfull. Such a big gamble not know if it would work during development.
It was orignaly planned that you would fail if drinking within range of a NPC but ran out of time. I still kept the warning dialogue in there becuase I thaught it would be hilarious to still scare people of a threat that doesn't exist.
This is soooo cuuuute, chars seem to have a personality and main char animation is kinda hilarious. You get immersed in it real quick. I like that the water drinking thing seems to be always smiling
Glad it was imersive for you. Thanks for playing!
Nice work! I really enjoyed this! I think it's very clever how the sense of humor is embedded into the gameplay (e.g. fetching coffee for people or taking painkillers to gain health) which makes the tasks feel meaningful rather than it feeling like a laundry list of things. Just one comment about the UI - perhaps if there's a way to progress dialog with the keyboard (since the game is most played on the keyboard), I think that'd help with the seamlessness of transitioning in/out of dialog!
Thank you for comment! I'm super glad you enjoyed the humour in it. Tried to make it feel natural and not forced.
Yeah the continue dialogue thing was planned on the to do list during the polish phase, then I suddenly remembered i forgot it after submitting it haha.
This game was great. Had so much fun playing. I could feel the stress.
Glad you felt the stress! Thanks for playing!
It's like you wanted me to have stress!!! lol So fun! :D
Thanks for playing and sharing it! Glad you got stressed out so much, as intended.
I loved this game, I can see me playing a version of if on my switch honestly.
I like the artstyle and music along with background office noises. Also, I appreciate how well communicated my tasks were and the needs for every employee. Well done!
Glad you loved it! And it's great your thaught everything was clear, that was honestly the scariest part of the jam as I really didn't want to creat some kind of block of text to read explaining what to do.
Yeah, that's one of the biggest challenges. You manage to keep it simple with the icons and the objectives remained clear.
The room distribution was nice, so I can easily remember where to go and who was asking for what.
I loved it.
The workload, consumable and level design balance was spot on for the stressed out feeling.
I also find it uncanny that your idea is quite similar to what I tried to do with mine, fighting being on the edge of a breakdown managing stress and increasing tasks.
Thanks, glad you loved it, balancing was definitely the scariest part haha, glad it felt right.
Yeah I kind of knew everyone would do something similar, I just had to try nail the execution.
The art style and animation in this game made it feel so good and fun to run around an office environment. Having different rooms to explore, even just the detail put into the parking lot, was really nice. And that speed boost from the coffee was a great feeling while completing tedious tasks.
I thought the sound selection and audio tracks were great, but the mixing felt a little off. I do love the tedium of office chatter and phones ringing, I just think they'd be more effective if dialed back some.
Humorous writing and a great way to implement the On the Edge requirement. Great game. Great work!
Thanks for playing I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah mixing is always hard. I don't know how reliable my headphones and speakers are for mixing on the fly along side my bad hearing haha.
Solid game, I enjoyed it quite a bit!
Thanks for playing!
GG!!!!!!!
Cheers!
really cool game loved the sound effects and the music well done
Glad you enjoyed it! It's always fun running around your house making differnt noises.
yea it also makes it sound better in my opinion
This game is definitely my favourite spin on the office-environment games in the jam - a perfect balance in difficulty, really simple controls and easy to understand - loved the humour, graphics and the audio was great too. Overall, really clean execution and gameplay :D
Glad you thaught it was easy to understand! That was the scariest part of releasing it.
