How does your game apply the limitation (and optionally, the theme)?
Boss, was a litteral interperitation of a Boss like figure giving orders. The theme "On The Edge" reffers to the stress system in the game, feeling of being on edge and stressing out close to breaking down.

I had so much fun with your game! the graphics and music match the proposal well. I already had the idea of a stress bar for a game, it was cool to see it implemented so well here, good job!
Thanks for comment. Really glad you enjoyed it and had fun!
I laughed at the end, pretty accurate
Fun to play, solid as coding and nice progression level
The stuff to do really make me feel stressed lol, good job!
I'm glad you laughed, as I hope everyone did. Thanks for playing!
I would like to mute the sound of the phone, it's so annoying because it sounds like a real phone: i can't focus in the game though.
I like the graphic style and the simple tasks you have to do, but how the simple task still you have to do. It's a fun feature you have to "restart" when the stress levels gets too high. There are some potential, but while the game makes feel more stress than be relaxing, is not often a good sign.
Yeah phone is like in the ambience sound file so it's a little hard to mute.
Thanks for playing and the feedback though!
A really enjoyable game. It’s not too hard and after the first two levels I got the hang of all the mechanics. Clean arts style and a pleasant music. It’s a shame there are only so many levels.
Glad you wanted more! I wanted 5 levels, but with jams you just gotta be respectable of everyones time to play other games. Wish I could have done more, but this felt jam length.
I completely agree, the length was just right for a jam game. By saying I wanted more I simply wanted to express my enjoyment from playing it.
People really seem to like this, so I may build more levels and things. A proper release would be nice.
I’ll be on the lookout for that.
The game is pretty good, I really like the music and the balance between stuff to do and maintaining the stress level low with items! Since I have to do everything fast maybe a map of the floor would help me going through without having to memorize every single spot I've been. I finished the game, good job!
Thanks man, I appriciate that you finished it. Yeah a pop up map was on the to do list but for polish, but just ran out of time. Didnt want to get stuck ina potential hours long rabbit hole, on something Ive never actually done before. It's something I may add post jam.
With out doubt one of my favourite games from the Jam so far! Fantastic effort. The only thing I'd change is dont have the mouse to click through the dialogue, use E or something.
Thanks for the kind words man! Yeah that one was on the polish list, but then I submited it and thought oops.
So impressed with this entry! Great job on this! The music, sound affects, and pixel art are all top notch and worked together to turn a corporate office into a jaunty, up-beat, altogether amazing play experience. I loved the combination of smaller game design elements like resource and inventory management with literal task management. The ever rising stress bar was a great way to motivate the player, and having not only the stress pills, but also task completion and coffee intake, affect it added a lot of depth to the mechanic. 10/10, amazing job!
Stop, youre gonna make me get teary eyed.
OK, played the correct game this time! Awesome job here! I absolutely adore the pixel art. The character's walk cycle is super cute and the boss is just the right amount of jerk. I wish they would tell me what happened to Sam though...conversation cut out too early! I'm guessing he was another poor intern. Anyway, excellent work!
Hmmm... I think your in the wrong comment section?
You are completely right. I have a bunch of games on open tabs to play, so sorry about that lol
Haha I know the feeling it's all good man. Well, I hope you get around to reviewing this one anyways lol.
Haha thanks! Well the convos cutting off were a fun way to show your player not listening to office banter wasting your time theres actually 25 nice comments, 25 mean one's and 25 time wasters. Every player gets a little nugget or line.
I managed to softlock the game by talking to the boss at the beginning after already talking to them (either just starting too soon after ending the old convo, or maybe I managed to skip the first line before it appeared?). The text box showed up, and almost immediately disappeared (but not before some of the text showed up - that disappeared too), but despite looking like normal afterwards I was still unable to move. If I had to guess why it happened, I’d say the cutscene ended too fast to reenable movement.
Oh wow that's interesting. Tested gainst stuff like that quite a bit. Your deffintly the first. Thanks for finding it, will fix it after jam. If you want to keep playing, your progress gets saved btw so you can refresh.
Okay, so I played the game, and honestly it’s pretty great! The gameplay works really well. I know one person said that they’d appreciate a mini-map, but to be honest it feels like the “oh no where the heck do I get this coffee!?!” feeling you get from not knowing where stuff is is a core part of the experience (after all this is a stress simulator). One thing that hurt the experience a little is that the menus and text can’t be navigated with the keyboard - kind of awkward if you’re using the arrow keys (I’m sure an elite gamer would laugh, assuming wasd is enabled, but at least for this game I gravitated towards using a different hand for the items and movement)
Interesting take on the mini map. I would have just done a map that shows the layout and not where things are.
As for the key to advanced dialogue I felt that, I was like I need to do that most of the time, then I fixed all the other things in polish then submitted it and went played it afterwards thinking, oh yeah I forgot that, ooops.
Glad you thaught it was good tho!
Ah, yes. The grim reality of corporate servitude.
I really liked the art and how polished the game is overall.
Should have called it corperate simp simulator haha.
Thanks for playing!
Hahaha cool game ! I like the final !
Was really fun to go around and manage all those resource and stress. The only thing I didnt understand was the pill meter, I had more than 2 pills but there was 2 pills icons next to the stress bar that were some times full some time they werent.
Really cool game ! I enjoyed it !
Gald you fiinished it! Probly could have been communicated a bit better but those two pills were a maximum of how many you could have in your system at a time, like a cool down. Kinda based on real life where you should only take a certain amount of painkillers every few hours.
the best game i play so far :)
Wow high praise! Making me blush. Thank you so much for enjoying. Adding your game to my to do list tonight to play!
Great game! I really loved the visuals and audio in this one. Animations were amazing to say the least and I was never annoyed at the background music. I would've loved to have the option for a mini-map to better navigate the office but I still had a great experience without it. Getting lost and repeating some levels (days) rarely felt like a bad thing since the visual appeal of the game is so good. Great job to the team!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! A mini map was on the to do list for the end but ran out of time. I'd never done mini maps before so I didn't want to get stuck in a rabbit hole wasting hours figuring it out haha.
Fun game, really like the art, I'm a fan of sprite work without black borders but can never really pull it off. The UI is really nice too and the difficulty felt just right, very polished
For constructive criticism, I think there could be a few quality-of-life improvements, like having a key advance dialogue (I didn't want to talk to people because of having to click through). The borders on the UI also kind of clash with the aesthetic
Also, it looks like you're getting some sprite tearing when running around, unfortunately unity sucks with this so I've been dealing with this too. I'm not sure if you're using Pixel Perfect Camera but it's been helpful for me keeping the tearing a bit more under control
Thanks, really appreciate your kind words! Really glad you liked the art.
Yeah the camera annoyed me, I used cinemachine to get it up an running. Then when the last part came to polish, it was focused on bug hunting and balancing gameplay so people could actually finish it. I knew if I tried to mess with the camera I'd go down an hours long rabbit hole of time wasting just turning off and on settings haha.
Cool game! I had a very similar idea with my game aswell.
Haha I think a few people did. Very interesting to see everyone different executions.
Very fun game, interesting thing is I had the very same idea of making a game about an intern and having a boss that just keeps piling on more work for the intern. Funny thing how minds work sometimes
Yeah I saw a lot of those that were submitted. But I guess that's what happens when you do the first thing that comes to mind. Fingers crossed my execution stands out haha.
Yea I at least thought this game is great!
Ive only played until day 3 and so far I love it. Its what I was trying to go for with my game but I failed horribly. Good Game tho!
That's great glad you love it! Day 3 is the last day, then there's a very rewarding ending totally worth it! Will give yours a play and rating regardless though!
Thank You !
Fun little game! Love the art, music's good but it got a little repeatitive after a while. I enjoyed it! Well done :)
Thanks man I appreciate you playing! I Actually planned some other little features like little among us mini games etc. but time constraints haha.
Oh man i feel you
great game with a lot of charm. The scenery and graphics are the strongest aspects
Thanks man love the support!
Man really nice, and those graphics, really cool, nice pallete, I really enjoyed, I dont know why but these kind of games, of delivery, its just adicting, It was a nice play, thanks for sharing.
cheers
That's awsome to hear glad you enjoyed. Something different from shooters atleast. Did you manage to finish it?
yes, I ended up smashing my boss with the keyboard, believe me, that was really worth it.
cheek my entry tell me what you tought!, rate it it helps . cheers
I will check out your entry when I get home!
