Can't get enough of the art... Cool use of the mechanics too! Here's a link to my playthrough https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1595954872?t=02h24m35s

I'm so sorry you played it that long! If I ever release a bug-free version I'll let you know. Thanks seeing the feedback in real time was actually pretty helpful!

I'm glad it was!! Lol and don't be sorry, I wasn't... Super cool idea, you did a great job. Please do reach out if you get around to making another build :D

Just a wonderful artstyle !

And tough controls )

Developer(+1)

Haha yeah controls ended up unfortunate, but I learned a lot (of what not to do)

What happened? This is madness but in a good way!

This might be one of the weirdest entries of the jam but it's also an intriguing one. I totally love the art style! It's super unique, fun to watch and deserves a top spot in the art rating.

I think I understood how the game works, probably, but of course I could not reach the goal. I think the main problem is that everything is super fast. You increase the mass and all the planets or moons smash into your planet almost immediately.

The concept is great and if you manage to make the whole chaos more manageable this could be a pretty cool game! For a first game this is really good. Well done!

Developer

Haha yeah the physics needed another pass. I arrogantly thought I'd ignore the built-in physics engine and just make my own so I had more intuitive controls. Obviously my hubris was punished by the gods of vector math. If I had had more time I would have fixed the character controller and redone the planet gravity interworkings, esp. the mass increase on the planets. Although in the end it's kind of funny when you make every moon smash into a planet.

Wow, what a crazy beautiful game. I found it difficult to play but wow. Please keep it up.

Developer

Thanks for the encouragement! It was definitely a flop as far as the controls go, I got defeated by making my own physics, but I learned a lot.

Well, this looks absolutely gorgeous. A very unique style, bizarre but beautiful. Soundtrack isn't bad.

Unfortunately, I found the game too difficult to make much progress, even at the Easy setting. Of course, I know how hard it can be to calibrate difficulty within the  strict time limits of a jam.

Developer(+1)

The game is technically beatable, but I have no idea because I could never do it. I wouldn't suggest trying. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool concept, although the buggy gameplay made it a little difficult to enjoy. Overall, good job though!

Developer

Haha, no joke. Thanks for playing though! Hopefully I can get the bugs out next jam. Or maybe I'll make a game about bugs so they'll be at home.

Truly loved the concept and artstyle. Here's far more feedback: https://www.twitch.tv/treblig_punisher

I absolutely love the idea of streaming your game jam playthroughs. I may steal that next jam I do. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! I 100% agree, I thought I had a better handle on character and camera controllers, but game jams are a good stress test to figure out what you clearly don't know how to do well.

I love the the art style !!!! Realy pretty design ! I was unable to understand how to quite the earth, but i'm a noob on this type of game. Good job !

Developer(+1)

Haha thanks, it's not you I bombed the character controller, next time I'll either figure out how to do vector math or scale down the scope!

The game is stunning and well made for your first game sfx are cool enough and everything works as intended and the artstyle is incredible (I know its AI generated but still) you did a good job on this and I'll give you a solid rating!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! It was very interesting to use a new tool to quickly prototype a game. I think the AI art has a pretty cool place for concepting and prototyping a project (although it can be very frustrating to make it give you a consistent style). I still think you'd either need to do a lot more work on top of the AI generated stuff, or just redo it completely for a finished game, but it's pretty fun to work with and can be great at helping generate ideas.

Hey! Good use of AI-generated art. It all seems very consistent. The game quickly becomes a bit hectic, but it was a fun thing to try nonetheless.  Congrats on making your first game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! It was AI generated, but I did do a lot of refining of the prompts and then photoshop to get it a fairly consistent style. It was really fun using it for a game jam or concept art, although for a real game I'd need more bespoke assets for sure. I liked playing around with the new technology to see what it could do!

I absolutely love the art aesthetic in this! So unique. I found the gameplay quite challenging; the controls and general behaviour of everything were very erratic and I only managed to get to 15% completion. A really interesting concept though. Great work!

Developer

I got owned by vector math and couldn't get the character controller working how I wanted it to, it's kind of unfortunate because I think it would have been fun. I think you can theoretically beat the game but honestly I was never able to. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow the visuals in this were cool. Not just the AI Generated art, but I also love that it kind of looks like a stage play. Controls were a little sensitive but overall I love the concept, nice job

Developer

Thanks, the controls are bananas, it's barely playable. I just couldn't figure the character controller out and ran out of time with life stuff. I was happy how the art turned out though, thanks!
