I love the attention to detail for the dog sounds and animation! I wasn't sure if I was playing correctly for scaring off the wolves, but quite an original concept.
One of the nicest looking games of the jam. The art-style and controls were great. I wish there were more, but for what's there, it's great!
A game with a sad story.
At the very beginning, the sound of the dog ex-owner's car leaving is heard :(
I like the work with sound and immersion in story, the dog barks very sweetly. The distant sound of wolves is really frightening. There is a sense of hopelessness.
I think this game needs a good ending. For example, the dog breaks off the chain and scares the wolves away from the man who got lost in the forest. In the end, the man will shelter his savior :)
Not quiet sure if there is a goal but all the features were really fun.

To be fair, we had a day'n'night cycle from Polaris Low Poly Tools. About an hour before deadline, we made a build, and it failed, the reason was the day'n'cycle system. So without thinking we deleted the asset and made the final build that finished seconds before the end of the jam.
So the initial idea was that you should only be possible to live about 7-8 minutes - that is 4 nights - because we assumed that is how long an abandoned dog could survive :( . By eating bugs you collect bark power (right wrist), that you spend by barking on wolves to scare them off.
The flow was supposed to be:
first night -60 seconds 2 wolves
second night - 2 minutes - sequential 4 wolves
third night - 4,6 - 2 wolves at a time - there are no more bugs at this point.
forth night - 6 minutes - 2 wolves at a time.
7 minutes - 5 wolves that should kill you since you don't have bugs anymore.
Ah I see, im sorry it didnt quit worked out as planned.

Love the locomotion, and of course the voice acting is superb! I was a little lost on the gameplay but had fun licking up bugs and attempting to bark at and fight wolves lol
