super fun! My daughter and I took turns playing :)

Love the view and the little person running below. Would be fun to see where this can go!

Developer

Im glad you both enjoyed it :)
I am definitely thinking about continuing to develop this !

Thanks for playing and the nice words.

Ok. I must admit that I did not reclaim all Mines :( But definitely claimed some fun from the journey :)
This is the second game with that view, the other one is Moss, and as Moss is really cool looking it is also a bit childish. Here it's different. When I started the game I immediately saw the potential for a  Witcherlike  Slasher RPG with some godlike helper.  Of course, now it's a prototype, but with some cool stories, voiceover, and some programming,  this could be a diamond one day.

Developer

Awesome ! that is very nice to hear :)

Did you find some parts to hard ? I wasnt sure if I made it to hard in the end.

Yea absolutely, I took the most inspiration from RPG, slasher like concepts (and Moss obv.) and really wanted to go more the action way.
Definitely been thinking about continuing this as a bigger project, but I think I also need a (longer) break first.

Thanks for playing and the kind words !

This game is very much different from all the other VR games I've played so far. I really enjoyed the items one time use mechanic. The game was incredibly easy to pick up and play and the tutorial was very informative. it's probably the best tutorial so far. Amazing work on this project really enjoyed this one.

Developer

Hey, thanks a lot for playing and the nice words !

That is good to know, the tutorial is the level I spend the most amount of time on. Glad that it payed off :)

Very interesting experience, being able to look down and control the character like that. Also, you had full levels of interesting stuff to do, very solid execution as well.

Developer

Thats great to hear :)

I hope it wasnt too hard at some points, wasnt sure about the difficulty in the end.
Thanks for playing !

Wasn’t too hard, at least for me. Got close to death at the boss, but if you know how to kite properly, it’s a lot easier.

Developer

Thats nice, thanks for the feedback !

Very interesting game mechanics, you could work on it even more.

Developer

Thanks for playing.
Absolutely, I think I will !

Super cool idea of how VR can be used for 3D person action game. I played it full game and I must say it is very impressive. Despite some issues with fixed camera points and changing it via triggers, I would encourage you to really focus on hand interactions like creating avalanches or something related with the environments rather than throw them from the inventory (which is super satisfying btw).

Congrats, very good concept implementation! All mines were claimed!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for the feedback !

Right, I also wasnt super satisfied with the player/camera positions in the end, I ll see what I can do about that.
Great suggestion, I originally planned some real hand interactions but had some troubles and went for a simpler approach.

How did you find the difficulty ? I am not sure if some areas are too hard.
Thanks again for the nice words ! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Maybe some kind of handgrab locomotion or a simple teleport reduced to the Gameplay area may do the job.

Difficulty is more or less balanced, some times the ranged enemies shoot you through walls or terrain which is not fair. I would suggest including more power up maybe random dropped by defeated enemies.

One last thing, I got the finished game screen the second time I played it losing to the boss, should I get a you lose screen instead?

As I said, good game concept! Good work.

Developer

Hm yea these are some nice ideas ! I ll take a look into which one I like more.

Yes, there are some collision problems, some items are also falling straight through the floor ^^

Hmm that is not supposed to happen but I think I know exactly why it is happening (when the boss gets destroyed it just loads the final scene and I think that also happens when reloading the scene xd).

Thanks for letting me know and the extra feedback !

Love the table top viewpoint. Would absolutely play a full game like this. Great stuff!

Awesome ! thanks for playing :)

Yup abysan was right, we have a really nice concept here, it isn't common to find this kind of project and the art was great.

I took me a bit of time to get into a nice gaming position (and handle the offsets) but was fun after that!

Tested on occulus rift and 1060 3g.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing !

Yea I found myself rotating around quiet a lot and wanted to find some better spots, but time was short ^^

May I ask how far you've made it ?
I am unsure rather or not I made it a bit too hard in the end.

Hey sure, I think the best I did was dying around the second gren golem spawn (just before taking the bridge and starting going backward).

Developer

Alright sounds good, thanks for the feedback !

I like this types of concept mixing classic 2D games with VR :)

I very much enjoyed the concept. The inventory was just a tad hard to manage where it sits on the camera. I also found a lightning and health exploit, as inventory does not reset upon death, meaning that I was able to farm up to three TPK's at a time, XD. That being said, this has the potential to be a very promising full release.

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks a lot for playing !

Yea I wasnt quiet sure on where to put the inventory as I wanted the player to always be able to access it. I can totally see how that is a bit confusing when trying to reach for an item and it just moves aways XD
Well I wanted you to be able to take an item into the next level but I did not thought about that "exploit" ^^

Thanks for the nice words !
Im definitely thinking about polishing this after the jam (although I also need a long break as there is a lot to clean up/refactor xd)
