this is really impressive for a 3 day game. I understand that you want to show off the upgrades and thus why it would be important to kill the player fast but I think that it was disheartening to lose so quickly over and over again. In the tutorial I also tried to press e to pick up scrap but that just progressed the dialogue :< really good though! loved the idea :D
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, we cranked up the difficulty to show off the upgrades quickly, but we get that it can feel frustrating to lose so fast. Definitely something we’ll tweak. The "E" key issue in the tutorial is a good catch, we’ll fix that too. Really glad you liked the idea.
Nice game with interesting gameplay. The amount of upgrades is very impressive. That's a well made game :)
Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed the gameplay and the variety of upgrades. We had a lot of fun putting it all together. Really appreciate your feedback.
I like the idea of "indirect controls", It was innovative and fits into the theme real well, However I felt I was always a bit too slow to load and shoot the magnet, It's impressive on how many upgrades in the shop you were able to make, the visuals are nice, the music and sound effects are good and it seemd quite polished for being created in under 3 days, your team did really well, good job!
Thanks for playing our game and sharing your feedback!
There are definitely improvements to the overall processes from minding until you shoot. It’s sometimes hard to take a step back from everything when you already so used to all the mechanics. A big quality of live feature we added quite late was that you don’t need to look at buttons to interact with them, which made the game way easier.
There was a lot of sacrificed sleep and sanity over those 72h to get the game to the state we’ve gotten. But all in good fun :).
I love the visual design of this, it is a very good idea and proposal for this Jam. I really liked this game.
I won't mention the bugs and frustrations that have already been mentioned to you because you already have them in mind. So all I have to say is: Good job:D💛
-I appreciate if you try my game: Polaronic
Thank you very much!
Nice artstyle and good gameplay, but I think the process of shooting too complex. It is a little furstrating and just like work when I control the magnet to shoot enemies.
Thanks for playing!
Yeah in hindsight process of shooting is a bit to complex I agree. It was also very hard to balance after playing with that mechanic for the whole game jam, we got way to good at it.
I like your character!!
Thanks!
Really nice gameplay! The graphics kind of remind me of Pokemon :)
It was a little confusing at first (at least for me) because I thought the magnet buttons were meant to be clicked instead of interacted with "E". Other than that it is a matter of getting used to it :), It gets really fun once you learn how to play.
I have to mention though, in the shop, you can buy the upgrades even when you don't have enough money (at least it appears to)
PS: I really liked that nice effect you added to the scrap pieces on top of the player when you're gathering
Thanks for playing and for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Happy to hear that the Pokemon vibe came across and you enjoyed our game.
Thanks for pointing out the bug. We also noticed it after releasing. Next time we need to do more playtesting before the last hours of the jam!
