Clever idea! I liked the concept of acting as a bug-tester for a game, and the form at the end was pretty cool. Really could've used a restart button (and a close game button). Knowing the concept from the get-go would have been nice as well as being able to test all the aspects before the form came up. For example, if both left wall is missing and the holes kill you, I couldn't test both of them since the game ended on death. Maybe use a countdown timer instead? The concept has a lot of potential, good luck with it (if you keep working on it)!

Congratulations on this being your first gamejam. It was an interesting concept, and I hope you can explore it further in the future. Good job! If you have the time, here's my game: https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-2/rate/552681. enjoy

I did not really understand, I answered and played it like 7 times and always got 3/6, nothing changed but the background and the tempo of the mario music. It seems interesting, but I cant seem to figure it out in any way. Even tried mashing answers

Edit: Nvm after reading a few comments and retrying some theories I figured it out, and that is actually a pretty cool Idea! I really liked it and it was super creative and well made, it was just super subtle. Good Job!!

Oh wow! You got the topic nicely!

Nice game there, I ended up killing myself because I didnt know how to win, Colliding with coins was a nice Idea, The menu music didnt match the ingame background music but menu music was great. Tnx for accomplishing this game.

A very clever way to interpret the theme!!! I loved the game!! Good job!!! =D

Good job on the concept! Have not seen anything like that in this jam before. :D

P.S. That music is oddly familiar. xD

The idea is really creative! I would've liked to see some more but its definitely quality over quantity. good stuff

Really creative concept. Would have like to seen another level or more bugs, but for how little time this was made in I think it's pretty good. Well done!

Really cool idea - especially the review screen at the end. Playtesting a broken game like that is surprisingly fun. Might have been a good idea to tell the player the objective at the beginning of the game a bit more clearly. "You have 3 minutes to find all bugs." and go and then just let me playtest for a bit. A run can end a bit too quickly when walking to the left for example. If not that then at least a way to restart the game from the review screen would have been great. Overall a super fun and enjoyable idea. Had a very good time with it. :)

Thanks Jonas :) I managed badly my time and at the middle of it I was "yes... hmm it gonna be a not too great experiment, I not gonna make it" but I did and I am proud for this and for the fun I had making it. Unfortunately not that proud for the overall game itself.

Thanks for the gamejam itself, for the time you pass helping everybody and for your precious feedback :)

See you !

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWIIIIE !

Pretty fun game! Good classic touch here. Some squashed bugs after death would be nice to see.

The quiz at the end was a really good a idea... i had to play it three times to find all correct answers.

Nice job you did there.

PS: if you have any time check on my game too

The quiz is a super awesome idea!  Checking for comprehension ~ Great job submitting a game for the jam, pls check out mine if you can.

Wait, the bugs seem to be random? That's actually better than I had expected! Now, I agree with the points made by Believing Gamedev. You often don't make it to the end of the level, so than there's no way of knowing all of the answers (not that it matters, since the result is always 3/6). Another issue is that there is no feedback in the results tab, you don't even display which answer I've selected for each question.

Indeed they are : Music, Sfx, Clouds, Sky, Platform, Ennemies, Holes, Coins and Start/End transparent Walls can be Not Bugged / Low Bugged / Medium Bugged or Highly Bugged !

The problem is that I did not have too much time for the jam so I implement quite a complex generating machine for a not too great/complex experiment ^^"

The quizz at the end should not be like this but I did not have that much time left !

Hey nice game, the player looks italian :-) Maybe the game could win some charm if I woud not have to restart the game after each round (witch alt f4 and reclick on exe :-P)
