Very interesting concept, and cool kind of "open world" game(: I think it was a bit small of a world but it was probably hard to write all of the endings....
Yea, I noticed that it was kinda like an open world right after I submitted it, but I would say most of the time went to the ideas for what was going to be there and making it somewhat engageing. Thank you for liking the game :)
To be honest: this game is a mixed bag for me. :P I'm not sure I found it fun, exactly, but I reaaaally love the "you decide when you win" concept. There definitely weren't enough games in the jam that took the "messing with the concepts of winning and losing" part seriously, and I'm glad you did. Also, cute sprites. :D
Thank you, and I agree that it is hard to have fun if you don't have a clear goal or even a goal you make yourself.
"Oh boi! This game has a comment section. " I like the text as you play, pretty fun and the movement is smooth. My only issue was I found that the audio quite often made this sharp noise like it was clipping. Overall well done for finishing the jam and nice game :)
I replayed the game a bit and saw what you meant when I made the music I exported it was a .wav file and it doesn't automatically loop inside of Godot so there was that. And thank you for enjoying the game!
The game is interesting.
I got to the orange flag. Sounds to me like the closer you can get in the game to winning, although I don't know if I missed something.
Good job!
The orange flag is the (second) highest part of the mountain you can interact with and is the "hardest" (not really hard) parcore area
Ah, yes. I played it again and I found the smol tree.
The great smol tree!
I really hope you can create a full game with a lot of text. You seem to have talent for making funny dialog.
The premise of letting the player decide their own winstate is very unique and i think it explores some fun decisions that future game designers can play around with.
Great game :)
i also made a game for the jam. you can play it and rate it if you want https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-3/rate/940947 :)
Thank you so much, I shall check out your game.
I love the dialogue.
Thank you, also you sent the message 2 times, its a glitch with itch (that rhymes!) were if you don't save your rating and press post message, it wont look like your message was sent but it was, also a popup of "you have unsaved changes"
I love the dialogue.
Funny stuff, I liked the "Darn diddly darn" dude :P Good controls. Once I fell into the cave I couldn't really see what challenge was in the game, it seems like you just talk to NPCs and decide when to quit, so, there aren't many opportunities to play with the idea of success/failure states, as you're really just quitting the game when you get bored. In case English is not your first language ignore this but, otherwise, the spelling could really use a second look as there were distracting issues in some of the text (I don't mean the ones that were supposed to be silly).
Thank you for enjoying the game
May I please congat you on this gem! I really like your humor and I like how the game feels :D great entry!
Thank you! =D
edit: uh, I noted I did the exact same reply for two people... welp
Haha thats hilarious! And you threw in a minecrat reference, what could you possibly want else from a game :D
Thank you =D
I was kind of confused as to what I was meant to do but I really like all of the npc conversations, most of them really reminded me of Undertale.
Yea there isn't a clear goal, but there isn't meant to be =/. And thak you for likeing it!
The game was really cute!! Maybe a bit hard to control at times, but really cute nevertheless!! (^u^)
PS. The 1.17 reference will just be confusing from players who doesn't know anything about Minecraft
Thank you, and yea, the 1.17 may be confusing, but at least almost everyone will know what Minecraft is, it is the biggest game and the cave update is the biggest so far.
