Absolutely stunning visuals and music. You lot really are mighty impressive in that regard, and earn fives there easily
But I feel like your platform design leaves quite a lot to be desired. That section where you had to do perfect platforming on tiny little platforms all the way to the top was really peak tbh. Also, whilst the idea for the platform you have to move to the right height, kill yourself, and then respawn on is cool and opens the door for the potential of puzzle elements, it didn't make sense that you were able to do that when you had not been able to do that for the rest of the game previously. Also, I feel like you should have patched the internet version of the game or taken it down.
Having said all that though, the art and music was just so amazing i cant even be mad. So much potential!
Visuals and sounds is great, however in web version idk why but middle mouse for me didn't work and I kept dying :), got good score from me cuz you had SKIP button for talking :D
This is really great, the art style is amazing. The webgl version is a little broken, but was able to get it to work by loading just the game in a new tab. I've seen a few games with similar mechanics, but none of them have pulled it off quite as well as this one - thank you for implementing spawn points and not bringing me back to the beginning. Definitely has the wowie factor for me, excellent!
Omg, the level of detail here? Like the grass? When you walk past it, it waves? Well done. The visuals are stunning. Can I ask you how you made the orange bushes? They are beautiful and I want to be able to make stuff like this.
Hello ! Thanks for your kind comment ! <3
I use Custom brushes on photoshop, made by Kyle T. Webster, they imitate watercolor brush and paint, i love them.
If you own a photoshop/adobe licence you can download them for free on adobe website, it's the only way to get those brushes nowadays :< (i'm pretty sure similar brushes exist on less expensive soft like Clip Paint Studio tho)
I think this was executed wonderfully. The idea is a little overdone, but the way you pulled it off makes it feel really unique and wonderful.
Visuals and sound easy 5/5.
I would have appreciated an in game explanation of how to set respawn points.
Also noticed that the game doesn't scale in windowed mode which is how I was playing so I realized later I wasn't seeing everything I was supposed to.
The game looks extremely nice and charming. At first I got very frustrated with the web version, but then I read the comments and decided to give windows version a try. I reached the falling spikes and couldn't figure out what to do with them, so unfortunately this game is fantastic in terms of visuals, but the gameplay is far behind at the moment. :(
Yeah sorry there is bug with somes pc, it's maybe the framerate but I can't correct them now since the game jam isn't over. After the end I'll post a new version with all the bugs corrected if you want to check it out ;)
Really impressive visuals. I was on web version and had some trouble getting past the first spikes, but from the screenshots the rest of the game looks just as visually impressive. Cool game!
Of all the games with this concept, it was the prettier by far
But WHY the middle mouse button ?? (it's a pain to click it on my mouse)
Nice game, Nice graphics, Nice music! Nice!!!
Great graphic! Nice music. Unfortunately I needed to download the game. The browser version didn't work at all.
Wow ! What a game in three days !! Love the artworks ! The lovely music and sound design. The polish with the dandelion... Great job !
The graphics look good. Do I return to the start every time I die? or are there checkpoints?
There are checkpoint when you pickup the powder at the beginining you can hold the middle mouse button and you can place a respawn point :D, (there is also a catogry "controls" under the game ;) )
This is a beautiful game, the music and the sound effects fit this game very well! :) The only thing is that for people that don't have a mouse that they can't place checkpoints. I myself have a mouse but if you don't have it it kind of becomes unplayable. But overall it is a good game!
Thank you :D (I'll add gamepad and other platforms after the game jam when I'll be able to modify the code ;) )
The art and music are absolutely lovely, and I really like the idea of non-gameplay elements being just outline sketches to differentiate them.
I got stuck at the beginning for a long time when the spikes were killing me despite landing on a body. I was really confused, but it worked fine after I reset.
I didn't finish the game, because I put a respawn circle on the moving platform, moved the platform up, then got stuck in an endless falling loop. That was dumb of me, I admit. Other than that, being able to place your own respawn is a really nice idea in a game about dying to make progress. I really appreciated that.
Thanks for your feedback. Yeah unfortunately there is a problem with multiple person at the start sometimes the collision just won't work and you can't get past the first level x). You are one of the rare people to tell me about the end part I don't really understand why it's happening but I inviete you to check out the game after the game jam cause i'll update it to patch fix all the bugs ;)
Looking forward to it!
It could be happening because when you place the checkpoint when the moving platform has moved from it's original spot that when you die the platform goes to it's original spot and that the checkpoint isn't on it anymore. You could make it so when you place a checkpoint on the platform that it goes to the original spot of the platform so that doesn't happen.
Yeah I got it figure it out thanks, it wasn't really the thing you said but it's similar x)
The art is beautiful and I find it funny that you can use the body as a platform.
The mechanic is not very original you can find many games with it but many thought that our game is the best take on that. Anyway thanks for the comment :D
The dreamy-cartoony art is beautiful to watch and the sounds are well chosen. I liked the possibility to press space in the starting dialogue to speed up things. I have seen many games that explorated this idea of leaving a corpse behind to use in future runs, but yours was by far the cleanest execution of it. Having to start all over again on death felt a bit too punishing though, i would have liked checkpoints before the spikes falling from sky for example. Well done! Check out my game if u can ;)
Hey thanks for your commet I hope you'll play it again after knowing that you can place checkpoints by holding the middle mouse button but anyway thanks anyway for the compliments :D
for sure i replayed this! How nice i can place checkpoints XDXD Another big applause to Art ant Music...i loved every second of it. The only thing i can suggest is: when playing this on fullscreen and i jumped around on the plattforms the camera was locked on the player and make the view move to much. I would fix it so that u don't always have the player fixed at the center of the screen, so the camera view doesn't move to much. I would also make a note on screen that the arrow button top right means "restart everything again" and not "go to last checkpoint" XD
If the artist is available to work on some games i would also love to contact him/her :D <3 <3 <3
Ohhh, whaaaaat? I didn't know that either when playing. :D
Yeah sorry apparently the popup that should tell you that is bugged and not showing up, I'm sorry for that ^^'. But appart from that did you enjoy the game (i'm so happy you atleast played it :D) ?
Great Job :D
Fun and looks great!
Thanks enjoyed the stream :D
If games like this can be made in 72 hours, then there's a lot in the world to be excited for!
Heheh thanks who know maybe there will be a whole game from this game ;)
This is the absolute best execution of the most generic idea.
Thanks :D
