The art is amazing and the idea of switching out body parts is really creative. Good job!

Thank you! <3

AAA! The second elevator went so fast I got stuck in it!

The puzzles were amazing, and the story and music were on point. I loved the idea of adding different attachments to a robot!

Developer

Glad that you liked it! Elevators can be odd >.<

But we’ve planned a major bug fix after the jam :)

nice game

Intresting take on the theme. However the mix of puzzle solving with fast decision making is a bit discouraging - like I opened the door with switch on the ceiling just to fall into a pit.

It would be great to make more use of the console/command-typing thing - it really sells the impression of controlling an AI robot.

Developer

Thanks! Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to add more functions to the command line (but you can also type "retry" to restart the level)

I disagree with the detaching and attaching mechanic, it was a trouble even if there is a slow-motion it is still a no. But the puzzle is nice. The game would be better if the character mechanic was developed in a simpler way.

Developer

Overscoping is always a misleading problem: a little more general polish in the future will resolve the issues!

Really neat idea! You were able to get a lot of mileage out of connecting a couple different parts to a couple different locations on the character, and good job with the art for the characters! I do like the little run command in the green computer font, it adds a nice bit of mood.

Nitpicks:

  • The propellor past doesn't go on the front of the robot to make him go faster
  • Doctor Doggo deserves to win employee of the month one of these days
Developer(+1)

Doctor Doggo definitely does! But he is the one giving the awards :P

Interesting ideal with the interchangeable, wasn't really running that well on my end though, so I really had to fight with slowly moving ui-elements and stuff xD

Very cool Idea! :D I didn't manage to finish however, because when I use my right mouse in certain ways, my browser kept tossing me to the last page. Going trough the dialogue to many times became a big hurdle. However, very interesting idea, and if you had more than a jam to develop it further, it would be cool to see what kind of design decisions could be made to make the player able to learn the game more by them selves. I understand that when making something more unique, it's hard to know the right steps to teach the player without telling, so no grudges. At least you made it in to a story to make it more involved. Good job!

Developer

Thanks you for the review!

An interesting analysis. We wanted players to experiment with the prosthesis, but it's hard to support that type of design in a short game >.<

A really interesting concept! I liked the humour in the writing and the cute art :P I got abit stuck after a while. But the mechanics of changing and swapping legs was awesome

Developer

Thank you! Unfortunately we had to cut some dialogues, Roboto had some lines as well >.<

We could add them after the jam :)

cool game

This was a fun puzzle, I didn’t make it to the end but got through a few of the areas. I think it would have been nice if there were some other things than run that I could have written to the AI like “die” / “explode” to reset position. It would also have been nice if I could select a limb first and then right-click to slow down time rather than having to do it the other way around. It was also very tricky to get secondary limbs into position if the springy thing was already in the bottom… perhaps being a bit slower on switching / loosing connection to the “current” highlighted slot… but all in all a very nice game

Thanks for your review! Unfortunately we had little time for polishing... Anyway if you type "retry" you could reset Roboto's position, but we had to cut some of the tutorial >.<

The art looks great very easy to understand, I enjoyed the ability to build the ai

How on earth did you come up with this idea xD nice job! It's actually quite funny, but I struggled a bit at the start. But all in all nice work! :)

Developer(+1)

Oooh, you're far too kind, wise stranger! uwu

The controls are odd, and it doesn't really feel like cooperating with an AI, but controlling it. (I know story wise you aren't the AI, but it doesn't feel like it)

I wish you could skip the text.

The controls feel awful and the game is far to difficult.

The music, for some reason, makes my ears have a dull and painful thumping. I don't blame you for this, but this is why I can't really give proper feedback on the music.

The art, however, is great. And the concept is quite simple, which is great for a jam.

Love the art style of this game! A doggo in a labcoat can never go wrong!

Developer

Woof! :)
